A reader writes from Italy:

Could you please aks the Prayer Warriors to join me in my prayers for my sister. She had a scan which showed a suspected tumor in her breast. She is due to go in for tests next week. Please pray for her , her doctors and other care workers and for all our family.

Blessed be the Name of Jesus.

Father, hear our prayer for her complete healing . Grant wisdom, skill, and compassion to her caregivers and grace, peace and strength to all who love her. Mother Mary and St. Luke, pray for her. We ask all this through your Son Jesus Christ

Another reader writes:

Hello, my name is Rose Doane and I am an organizer for a campaign called Save America Sunday. On Sunday, October 28th, 2012, faithful American Catholics, like me, who are concerned with the growing belligerence toward the rights of the Church, the mounting threats to the free exercise of conscience and the impending negative implications of the HHS mandate, are planning to gather around the country for public outdoor Processions of the Blessed Sacrament in honor of Christ the King. On the eve of the forthcoming elections, through these processions, we will publicly exert the social kingship of Our Lord Jesus Christ and pray for the protection of religious liberty as well as the spiritual well-being of the nation and its leaders.

The call for Public Processions of the Blessed Sacrament was a prescription mandated by His Holiness, Pope Pius XI, in his 1925 encyclical letter Quas Primas, to combat social ills and persecution of the Church. It established on the last Sunday in October the feast of Christ the King to proclaim the rightful temporal rule of Our Lord as the healing balm for broken nations and peoples who abandon God. Pope Pius XI said, “by public adoration of the Blessed Sacrament exposed and by solemn processions, men unite in paying homage to Christ, whom God has given them for their King. It is by a divine inspiration that the people of Christ bring forth Jesus from his silent hiding-place in the church, and carry him in triumph through the streets of the city, so that he whom men refused to receive when he came unto his own, may now receive in full his kingly rights.”

Will you join the Institute of Christ the King Sovereign Priest, the Priestly Fraternity of St. Peter, Fr. Michael Rodriguez, and other faithful American Catholics on Sunday, October 28th in prayerfully marching in public Processions of the Blessed Sacrament so as to save America from the current perils that besiege it? Can we count on you and your parish to organize a public Procession of the Blessed Sacrament on the Feast of Christ the King, Save America Sunday?

Please register your procession at www.saveamericasunday.com and add your parish to our growing list of nationwide processions so that we can all work together to conquer America through prayer for Christ!

Father, hear our prayer through your Son Jesus Christ! Mother Mary, Patroness of the Americas, pray for us.

Another reader writes concerning Silas, the infant who was having respiratory problems:

I just got back from seeing baby Silas or should I say “Super Silas” a little while ago. He looks amazing! He was awake and looking around at Jonny and Alicia and following their voices. It was a wonderful treat for them as they said this is probably the most alert he has been since right after he was born. He is such a little trooper and even gave the doctors a run for their money when he pulled out his catheter this morning! They had reduced the % of oxygen they are feeding down to as low as 38% right before I got there, but since he woke up from a little nap and likely got excited from seeing his mommy and daddy they had to slightly increase it back up to 44% or so. However this is still a huge improvement as he was still in the 60’s last night. He is slowly working his way down to hopefully not needing any additional oxygen.

Jonny and Alicia are extremely grateful for all of the love and prayers they have received so please keep them coming, and please pray for a full recovery. Alicia is still staying at the hospital for which they think they will likely still be there for some of the week.

Silas is such a handsome little peanut I’m sure I speak for everyone when I say I can’t wait to hold him (once Jonny and Alicia of course get their fair share 😉 ).

Thanks be to God our Father through our Lord Jesus Christ! Bring him to full recovery, Father! Mother Mary and St. Luke pray for him and all who love him and care for him. We ask this through Jesus Christ.

Another reader asks for prayer for his troubled marriage. Father, grant that marriage healing and hope through your Son Jesus Christ! Mother Mary and St. Joseph, pray for that family.

Another reader writes:

My 15 year old son has decided he is an agnostic. I am blaming myself, at least in part, because I fell away from practicing my faith during his formative years. I am ill over this. We have butted heads over the years about other matters, as we are both rather headstrong, but this is the one thing that I was most afraid of.

Please, please pray, for me as well as him, and for all the rest of my family. My best strategy now is prayer, as speech only seems to wind up with the two of us arguing.

Father, you can reach places in the heart we cannot. Help this boy really ask the questions he is asking and really seek the answers that are there. Put a fire in him to seek the truth and find it in your Son. Give peace to his mother and help her to rely on you in this trial. You love her son more than she does. Help he rest in that. Mother Mary, St. Monica, and St. Augustine, pray for them. We ask this through Christ our Lord. Amen.
