Masculinity is now a sin, according to the fascists at the University of Regina in Saskatchewan, Canada who are prompting male students to confess their toxic manhood.

Man Up Against Violence is a series of workshops the university is hosting to encourage male students to discover ways to counter their own “hypermasculinity.” It even offers a “Masculinity Confession Booth.” No, really.

The description states:

We have all reinforced hypermasculinity one way or another regardless of our gender!! …Come and share your sins so we can begin to discuss how to identify and change our ways !!!

Man Up Against Violence will raise awareness around healthy masculinity and provide opportunities for education with a goal of increasing involvement of men in the cause. With the support of male advocates, Man Up Against Violence will continue to challenge the damaging effects of socialized hypermasculinity ergo reducing violence in our communities.

Despite using it in its name, “man up” is problematic to liberals because it shames men into being macho even if they don’t feel like it. They want to retake the phrase and use it to challenge “social norms” about being a man, which loosely translates to not being a man at all.

Groups like these want to create a misogyny-free society, but in reality, it’s good old fashioned emasculation. Just look at the crying man in the advertisement. To them, the only “good” man is the one who weeps over his man-curse. Perhaps it’s time to man up and skip the confession booth.
