It seems quite important to revisit something Department of Homeland Security Secretary Jeh Johnson said back in January, just one month after the San Bernardino terrorist attack: right-wing extremists are just as dangerous as Islamic terrorists.

Those, and other, comments resurfaced in the wake of the most recent act of Islamic terrorism in Orlando. The official minutes of a Homeland Security Advisory Council meeting was quoted by The Daily Caller that highlights the disdain the Obama administration has for the Right:

“Member Acevedo reminded the Council that the threat from right-wing extremists domestically is just as real as the threat from Islamic extremism.”

“Secretary Johnson agreed and noted that CVE [Subcommittee on Combating Violent Extremism], by definition, is not solely focused on one religion.”

“Member Goldenberg seconded Member Acevedo’s remarks and noted the importance of online sites in right-wing extremist communities, not only in America but worldwide.”

And less than a week before the Orlando attack, DHS’s Homeland Security Advisory Council issued its report, urging the agency not to use in language that might upset Muslims when talking about future attacks, such as “jihad” or “sharia.”

Making this even more interesting is one of the members on the subcommittee: Laila Alawa, a 25-year-old Syrian immigrant who spends much of her time on social media criticizing America and its values. She even went as far as saying the attacks on 9/11 “changed the world for good.”

Our government is completely missing the mark and misidentifying our enemies and innocent people are being slaughtered because of it.

The IRS and the DHS are too busy attacking, demonizing and prosecuting political opponents. We are on the fast track to fascism. To be on the “right” in America today, is to be a political “dissident.” Something I never thought I’d see in my lifetime.

The IRS harasses us and puts us on “Be On the Lookout” lists. Then, the DHS puts us in the same category as Islamic terrorist killers. There is a logical reason why we now fear our government. We must put an end to it and reverse it, so that they fear us as it was meant to be.
