Patheos Explore the world's faith through different perspectives on religion and spirituality! Patheos has the views of the prevalent religions and spiritualities of the world.
Five days a week, we send out Daily Devotions to those who sign up [SIGN UP HERE]. Our prayer is that people will be loved and served through the Bible teaching we give away. Sometimes, people send us an email back letting us know how the Lord used the Bible teaching in their life. We really appreciate these encouraging responses and one this week was so encouraging we wanted to share it with you.
For context, the Daily Devotions were addressing the fact that Jesus Christ is fully God and fully man. Here is the email we received regarding those Daily Devotions:
“Excellent! I was raised in a church that taught that Jesus didn’t even use the bathroom and that his body could have never died. They even went so far as to say he never asked the Father why he forsook Him. It was a mistranslation. They stripped Him of his humanity and put an unbearable weight of hyper-spiritual legalism on me.Thank God for ministries such as yours that have been used by the Holy Spirit to free me from the chains of legalism and guilt. I now walk in the pure light of the Gospel and exult in the totality of Jesus’ work on the cross of Calvary.”
Thank you to everyone who prays for and supports this Bible teaching ministry. We hope and pray you are encouraged as we were. And, if you have a story of how God has used Bible teaching to change your life we’d love to hear [click here for email].
