The story is so well known… a small book of 15 copies printed at Kinkos by Paul Young for his family at Christmas, turned into The Shack, selling 18 million copies and counting. Now Paul Young is at it again in his new novel Cross Roads, except this time with slightly larger projections for distributed copies 🙂

Paul sent me an advance copy of Cross Roads a few months ago, and I quickly read it. It is written in the same style as The Shack, but with a whole different story, plot and cast of characters. Without giving away the twists and turns in the plot, Paul’s familiar voice, beauty and vibrant imagery in The Shack is ever present in this new book; which is much broader thematically and more community oriented. Needless to say I really loved it, and I genuinely believe that if you were a fan of The Shack, you will absolutely love Cross Roads as well! I have already bought some copies as Christmas presents…

Good news, Paul will be speaking in Chicago and doing a book signing at Books-A-Million (144 S. Clark Street) tomorrow, Tuesday, November 27th, at noon. So if you live in, or work in Chicago, be sure to take your lunch break at noon and come on over to meet Paul, hear him do a short reading and have him sign it.

If you’re not in Chicago but want to connect with Paul, check out his upcoming schedule of free events around the country here.

I couldn’t have wished this success and adventure on any better of a human. Paul is the most humble man I know, and he never takes one single person who engages his work, heart and passions for granted.

I look forward to seeing you there!

Much love.
