Top 20 Books I Read in 2010 2012-12-15T22:42:09-06:00 Andrew Marin

LOGO Patheos Explore the world's faith through different perspectives on religion and spirituality! Patheos has the views of the prevalent religions and spiritualities of the world.

In 2010 I fully completed reading 41 books, totalling 10,575 pages. Those are both personal records!

Below are the Top 20 books I read this past year. My only qualification for this list is that I had to complete the entire book somewhere between January 1 and December 31, 2010. The book didn’t have to be published in 2010, I just had to read it in 2010. For this list I am excluding my book, Love is an Orientation, as well as the Bible, because I’m a tad biased towards each. 🙂

20. True Enough: Learning to Live in a Post-Fact Society by Farhad Manjoo

19. Counterfit Gods by Timothy Keller

18. Living it Out: Survival Guide to LGBTs in the Church by Rachel and Sarah Hagger-Holt

17. Pilgrimage of a Soul by Phileena Heuertz

16. Swish: My Quest to Become the Gayest Person Ever by Joel Derfner

15. Under the Dome by Stephen King

14. The Next Christians by Gabe Lyons

13. Intimate with the Ultimate by Gerald & Chrissie Kelly

12. The Future of an Illusion by Sigmund Freud

11. Surprised by Hope by NT Wright

10. Hear No Evil by Matthew Paul Turner

9. If You Have to Cry, Go Outside by Kelly Cutrone

8. Homosexuality and the Christian by Mark Yarhouse

7. Is God Still an Englishman? by Cole Moreton

6. REWORK by Jason Fried and David Heinemeier Hansson

5. Moneyball (New Afterward) by Michael Lewis

4. Simplifying Innovation by Michael Dalton

3. Open Mind, Open Heart by Fr. Thomas Keating

2. Mere Churchianity by Michael Spencer

1. Friendship at the Margins by Chris Heuertz and C. Pohl

There it is!!!! Have any of you read any of these books? What are your thoughts? What was your favorite book you read in 2010?

And if I were to break this list down into ‘Best of…’ categories, here they are in alphabetical order:

Best Bridge Building Book: Friendship at the Margins by Heuertz and Pohl

Best Business Book: Simplifying Innovation by Michael Dalton

Best Christian Faith Book: Mere Churchianity by Spencer
