Friends of FiatIt’s “launch week” for my brand new book The Grace of Yes: Eight Virtues for Generous Living. To celebrate, we are paying tribute to seven very special examples of “The Grace of Yes in Action”, the seven winners for our “Name the Goldfish” contest. I will be making a personal donation to these organizations and invite you to keep them in your prayers as well. Please help me share the good news about each of these seven organizations by sharing them via social media too — we can do a world of good by sharing the amazing work they are doing to serve others.

Tune in each day this week to meet new “Friends of Fiat”!

New Evangelizers:

Winner Amanda said of her favorite charity:

New Evangelizers says “Yes” through giving away items for free (Rosaries) or almost free (dvds etc) to help people “know their faith, live their faith, and share their faith.” I know they have helped me grow my own faith.

I concur with Amanda that my friends Greg and Jennifer Willits, co-founders of New Evangelizers, truly epitomize “The Grace of Yes in Action”. What began as a home-based apostolate has blossomed into an international ministry aimed at spreading the Good News of the Gospel in new and exciting ways. Per the New Evangelizers website:

Made up of six distinct yet unified ministries (see below), New Evangelizers provides free tools and resources for the New Evangelization to help Catholics know their faith, live their faith, andshare their faith more effectively to empower them to take leading roles in the New Evangelization and encourage others to do the same.

How?

We accomplish this by creating and distributing digital (online) and physical (hard-copy) catechetical and spiritual materials and resources for individual growth and study, as well as for mass distribution worldwide.  From CDs to DVDs to printed catechetical material, we want to do everything we can to help people know their faith, live their faith, and share their faith more effectively.

In a nutshell: We give away free Catholic stuff to promote New Evangelization and ask you to do the same.  Our primary goal is to better equip Christians with tools and information in order to assist the Catholic Church in re-evangelizing the world for Jesus Christ.

Through resources such as our online bulletin board community, up-to-the minute blogging about New Evangelization news and discussions, podcasts and videos, and free and bulk materials to help teach the faith more clearly, more thoroughly, and more effectively, New Evangelizers will do all we can to help people better understand the Catholic faith, put it to use in their daily lives, and share it with others.

With a greater focus on the New Evangelization, we will help propel the message of the Pontifical Council for New Evangelization by increasing awareness of the springtime of the new evangelization and by creating and distributing resources in alignment with the goals and activities of the Pontifical Council for New Evangelization.

Blessed Mother Mary, Star of the New Evangelization, help us to give God our full and worthy “Yes” by sharing our faith lovingly with everyone we meet, in word and in deed. May our commitment to living and loving generously draw us into an ever closer relationship with your son, our Lord, Jesus Christ.
