Friends of FiatIt’s “launch week” for my brand new book The Grace of Yes: Eight Virtues for Generous Living. To celebrate, we are paying tribute to seven very special examples of “The Grace of Yes in Action”, the seven winners for our “Name the Goldfish” contest. I will be making a personal donation to these organizations and invite you to keep them in your prayers as well. Please help me share the good news about each of these seven organizations by sharing them via social media too — we can do a world of good by sharing the amazing work they are doing to serve others.

Tune in each day this week to meet new “Friends of Fiat”!

Louisiana Right to Life:

Winner Mary said of her favorite charity:

Louisiana Right to Life helps the state of Louisiana say “yes” to life – from womb to tomb. Louisiana Right to Life has been the starting point for each of my girls to learn to say yes, to be open to God’s mercy and grace, and to help others. It is the starting point for their yes in social justice via the Catholic Church.

Louisiana Right to LifeAccording to their website, Louisiana Right to Life has committed itself to lighting the way for the pro-life movement in Louisiana. Per their mission statement:

Louisiana Right to Life Federation (LARTL), established in 1970, works through education and legislation to restore the right to life in Louisiana by opposing abortion, euthanasia, and other life destroying actions.

As the state’s pro-life resource, LARTL builds and serves local Right to Life Chapters throughout the state. These chapters, along with other affiliates, are ready to answer local, statewide, and national issues effectively.

St. Gianna Molla, patroness of the unborn, intercede on behalf of the efforts of Louisiana Right to Life as they work valiantly to uphold the dignity of every human life. May each of us act today and always as champions for those most in need, for babies in the womb and elderly friends who are too often lonely and in despair. Help us to always be Christ to those in need.
