As a Catholic geek, I love the fact that when our Bishops do something as important as take a “Peace Pilgrimage” in the Holy Land, they go out of their way to share it with the faithful using the latest tools of technology.

An overview of the trip is provided by the USCCB:

This week, 18 U.S. bishops began a pilgrimage to pray for peace in the Holy Land. The bishops and their dioceses are sharing their insights into what they’ve seen there on Twitter, Facebook and more. There are some great messages, images and videos coming in so far. We’ll keep the updates coming.

At Storify, we have moment by moment tweets and sharings from those making this important journey. The photos and videos are truly compelling:

We can also follow the Bishops and their fellow pilgrims at Twitter with hashtag #peacepilgrimage and at the great and very active USCCB Facebook page.

Please join me in praying for the health and safety of our shepherds and for peace in our world.
