I haven’t seen the film yet, but this little clip featuring superstar surfer Bethany Hamilton makes me so anxious to see the soon-to-be released film Dolphin Tale 2.

In this video, Bethany (who lost her arm in a shark attack but remains an awesome inspiration for so many) shares how her personal faith in Christ has enabled her to overcome obstacles and live life to the fullest. As you watch, you’ll see footage of Bethany swimming with the main dolphin, “Winter”. These moments truly took my breath away. Even without seeing the movie, you get a sense that this is very much a story of healing, of promise and of hope.

So often, we complain about the things in life that handicap us. We have a laundry list of the conditions that exist that become our excuses not to actively pursue what we know to be God’s will for us. We hold back our “Yes” because of complaisance, fear, or a lack of trust.

A witness like Bethany’s reminds me that God has a deep and abiding love for me and that he’s placed all I need within me to give my full and worthy “Yes” to the world around me. He will never give me more than I can bear. Through him, and with him, all things are possible.

So with Bethany Hamilton, Harry Connick, Jr., Morgan Freeman, Ashley Judd and amazing dolphins, what’s not to love?
