When John Clem sent me this week’s Sweet Tweets, we both agreed that it couldn’t possibly already be Friday. Despite the fact that we just shared STs (as I call them in my head) on Monday, this was still an incredibly action packed week.

I love the photo above, which depicts the awesome EL AL airplane that Pope Francis will be using to head home from the Holy Land back to Rome. From EL AL, we have the following:

At a ceremony at Ben Gurion International Airport, the President and CEO of EL AL Israel Airlines, David Maimon, and the Ambassador of the Vatican in Israel, Nuncio H.E. Archbishop Giuseppe Lazzarotto, proudly affixed Pope Francis’ logo onto the EL AL aircraft in which Pope Francis will fly home to Rome. The special 777 aircraft will depart Ben Gurion International Airport on Monday, May 26 and will be outfitted to meet special requirements for the Pope and his delegation.

As we anticipate not only Pope Francis’ Holy Land mission but also the long weekend, I’m so happy that John has included several Tweets that remind us to stop and to prayerfully recall the reason behind Memorial Day. We pause to remember and to thank all those who have so valiantly served our country. I hope your week was filled with blessings and wish you a fabulous holiday weekend!
