About 13 years ago I spent a month in Crimea. It was beautiful and challenging. We were teaching English, speaking at churches, and doing a lot of construction work for the church there, which also ran a sort of retreat/resort center for ministers and their... Read more

Perspective is the Key A few years ago, my wife was pregnant with twins and I was working in a job at a great company, but my position was draining my joy and couldn’t provide the income we needed to feed and house two more children. Catherine and I prayed through our options and felt that God was leading me to launch a career in real estate. That launched us into some of the most difficult years of our marriage.... Read more

How Honor Can Change Your Whole World

Last updated on: August 23, 2023 at 11:35 am   By David Reyes

“Honor everyone. Love the brotherhood. Fear God. Honor the emperor.” 1 Peter 2:17 ESV‬‬   Honor is a concept that has often been misapplied, mistaught, and misunderstood. Often we think of honor as a boy scout mentality of “doing the right thing.” In some other cases, it’s been used as a tool to coerce obedience and respect to authority. As human beings, we often tend to twist the things of God from a basis of freedom and relationship, to one... Read more
