Martin Kaymer Leads the Memorial after Day 3

Last updated on: June 2, 2019 at 12:20 pm   By Kermit Zarley

Martin Kaymer of Germany shot a six-under par 66 today to take a two shot lead over Adam Scott at the Memorial on another “course that Jack built”–meaning the legendary Jack Nicklaus. That is Muirfield Village just outside Columbus, Ohio, Jack’s boyhood hometown. With one round left to play, Kaymer, who has been MIA (missing-in-action) for quite a while, finds himself back in the driver’s seat on an excellent golf course. That is the kind of venue where Martin shines... Read more

Barr and Mueller Disagree

Last updated on: May 30, 2019 at 4:37 pm   By Kermit Zarley

In Special Counsel Robert Mueller’s ten-minute speech delivered to the American people on television yesterday, he said it would have been “unconstitutional” for him to have charged President Trump with a crime. But does our Constitution say that? Mueller did not reference it. Instead, Mueller gave the impression that he was saying that based on the Department of Justice’s Office of Legal Counsel guidelines, of which he mentioned and elaborated. They say a sitting president cannot be charged with a... Read more

Mueller Interviews Others But He Refuses It for Himself

Last updated on: May 30, 2019 at 4:01 pm   By Kermit Zarley

Robert Mueller has surely done a great service to the USA by serving honorably in our armed services, being Director of the FBI for eleven years, and now finishing his 22-month job as special counsel. In doing this last job, he and his team interviewed nearly 500 people; yet Mr. Mueller is refusing to be interviewed himself publicly by Congress. Mr. Mueller spoke to the American people yesterday for ten minutes from prepared remarks. He made it clear that he... Read more

The Draft Dodger Should Shut Up about John McCain

Last updated on: June 3, 2019 at 11:32 am   By Kermit Zarley

While President Trump visited Japan, a Navy destroyer was stationed within sight. It is named the John S. McCain. It is named after Senator John McCain. He died last year while still in office due to brain cancer. It is being reported that the White House had the ship removed while Trump was there. It’s because Trump hates John McCain. John McCain was a war hero. He was a Navy pilot during the Vietnam War. He was shot down and... Read more

U.S. Democracy Is Now Proving It’s Not the Best Form of Government

Last updated on: June 2, 2019 at 4:30 pm   By Kermit Zarley

I have always maintained that democracy is the best form of government this side of glory. It’s because I think it is too risky to have a more authoritarian form of government with our democracy. President obviously would like to change this and make the presidency more like an authoritarian office of a king. However, democracy is not the absolute best form of government. The form of government that Messianic-King Jesus of Nazareth will exercise in his worldwide kingdom during... Read more

Has Mueller Instilled Confidence?

Last updated on: May 29, 2019 at 9:18 pm   By Kermit Zarley

Yes and no for me. Special Counsel Robert Mueller gave Attorney General William Barr his 448-page report on March 22nd. Two days later, on the 24th, Barr issued a four-page summary and conclusion about Mueller’s report to Congress that was made public. Three days later, on the 27th, Mueller gave Barr a letter in which he claimed that Barr had mischaracterized his report. Mueller wrote that Barr’s letter “did not fully capture the context, nature, and substance” of Mueller’s report.... Read more

Republican Congressman Justin Amash Calls for Trump’s Impeachment

Last updated on: May 29, 2019 at 4:21 pm   By Kermit Zarley

On May 18th, former attorney and now U.S. Representative Justin Amash (R-MI) became the first, and still only, Republican member of Congress to call for the impeachment of President Donald Trump. The five-term Republican put his political career at risk by doing this. He said he became convinced of doing it after reading the 448-page Special Counsel Robert Mueller report about his investigation of President Trump and possible Russian collusion in the 2016 presidential election. Ever since, Amash has been... Read more

Mueller Speaks

Last updated on: May 29, 2019 at 8:14 pm   By Kermit Zarley

U.S. Special Counsel Robert Mueller just spoke minutes ago to the American public for the first time in years. It was over two months after he ended his investigation of Russian attacks on our presidential election in 2016 and whether or not President Donald Trump and/or his aids have conducted a conspiracy about this and have obstructed justice regarding it. Mueller didn’t really provide anything new in his 10-minute speech. He merely confirmed items in his 448-page report of his... Read more

Is Donald Trump a Psychopath?

Last updated on: May 25, 2019 at 11:06 am   By Kermit Zarley

I have posted multiple times that I believe President Donald Trump suffers from a classic narcissistic personality. That can be a dangerous thing for the man who occupies the most powerful political position in the world. With narcissists, it’s all about them. But is Trump a psychopath, as some claim? That is worse. Robert Hare is recognized as the world’s foremost expert on psychopathy. The learning-mind.com website explains “The Hare Psychopathy Checklist with 20 Most Common Traits of a Psychopath.”... Read more

The Deal Maker Quit

Last updated on: May 23, 2019 at 3:26 pm   By Kermit Zarley

President Trump the deal maker is worried, and he should be. Two federal judges ruled against him this week, requiring that banks, other financial institutions, and Trump’s accounting firm must furnish Congress with his tax returns and other financial information upon its request. Trump will appeal, but most experts say he will lose. Then U.S. District Court Judge Amit Mehta ruled that Trump’s argument of executive privilege against the Congressional subpoena to require his White House lawyer Don Mc Gahn to... Read more
