DNA Proves the Philistines Came from Southern Europe
Last updated on: July 4, 2019 at 7:15 pm By Kermit Zarley
An article was published yesterday, that is online, in the journal Science Advances entitled, “Ancient DNA sheds light on the genetic origins of early Iron Age Philistines.” The lead author is Dr. Michael Feldman, genetic researcher at the Max Planck Institute for the Science of Human History (MPISHH), located in Jena, Germany. Dr. Daniel M. Master was one of five other authors. This article is important to me since it relates to my book, Palestine Is Coming: The Revival of Ancient... Read more

Hooray for Justin Amash Quitting the Republican Party
Last updated on: July 4, 2019 at 8:05 pm By Kermit Zarley
Republican Representative Justin Amash of Michigan announced today in an op-ed, which he wrote and was published in The Washington Post today, that he has quit the Republican Party and is now a political Independent. This was quite a symbolical move, coming on July 4th, which is America’s holiday called Independence Day. This self-confessed “libertarian” really needed to do this since he had announced on May 19th that, on account of the Mueller report, Republican President Donald Trump should be impeached.... Mossad As Peace Maker?
Last updated on: July 2, 2019 at 9:28 pm By Kermit Zarley
Yossi Cohen is Director of Mossad–Israel’s national intelligence agency, the equivalent of the CIA in the U.S. Sunday, he delivered a speech alleging that Iran orchestrated the two recent attacks on Persian Gulf oil tankers in the Strait of Hormuz, a critical shipping lane for much of the world’s transported oil. Iran admitted to shooting down the large, unarmed, U.S. drone claiming it was in Iranian air space. Iran has denied responsibility for the tanker attacks whereas the U.S. administration... Read more

Nate Lashley Wins Rocket Mortgage Classic
Last updated on: June 30, 2019 at 8:17 pm By Kermit Zarley
Thirty-six year old journeyman Nate Lashley just won his first golf tournament on the PGA Tour today. In fact, he ran away with it, winning the Rocket Mortgage Classic at Detroit Golf Club in Detroit, Michigan, by six strokes. For years, Nate Lashley bounced around on lesser professional golf tours around the world, including the PGA Tour’s Nationwide Tour that was later renamed the Web.com Tour, as it is today. Moreover, five years ago he was spending most of his... Read more

Jimmy Carter Versus Donald Trump
Last updated on: June 30, 2019 at 2:43 am By Kermit Zarley
Democrat Jimmy Carter was our 39th USA president, from 1977 to 1981. He had been a Georgia state senator from 1963 to 1967 and the governor of Georgia from 1971 to 1975. Although from the deep South, Carter was a strong, political anti-segregationist. Before that, he was a businessman who operated his family peanut farm. Mr. Carter’s most honorable legacy as U.S. president is his accomplishment of getting Israel’s Prime Minister Menachem Begin and Egypt’s President Anwar Sadat together, resulting... Read more

Robert Mueller Testifying Recalls Oral Tradition Versus Written Tradition
Last updated on: June 28, 2019 at 7:12 pm By Kermit Zarley
U.S. Special Counsel Robert Mueller–a man of very high integrity, a decorated Viet Nam War hero, and a former Director of the FBI for about twelve years–has agreed this week to testify in open hearings on July 17th before two House committees about his findings in his so-called Mueller Report regarding his two-year investigation into possible Russian government meddling in our 2016 presidential election and President Donal Trump’s possible obstruction of that investigation. Mr. Mueller is a Republican who has... Read more

Talking About the Doctrine of the Trinity
Last updated on: April 28, 2025 at 1:50 pm By Kermit Zarley
As many people who read my blog know, I was a Trinitarian for twenty-two years. The church doctrine of the Trinity means that God is one essence existing as three co-equal and co-eternal Persons: the Father, the Son (Jesus Christ), and the Holy Spirit. I then read myself out of this in the Bible, entered into a deep investigation of the matter over the next 25+ years, and self-published a 600-page book about it in 2008 entitled The Restitution of... Did Donald Trump Say He Is Glad John McCain Is Dead or also in Hell?
Last updated on: June 28, 2019 at 12:44 pm By Kermit Zarley
Today, President Donald Trump gave a rambling, one-hour plus speech to the Faith & Freedom Coalition. It’s supposedly a Christian organization that gets people to vote Republican. Trump even got theological in his speech. He mentioned the “war on Christmas” and insinuated that one of his political enemies, a man of his own political party, may be in hell. Trump also said he’s “very happy” that John McCain, a man of Trump’s Republican Party, is “gone.” This cannot be taken... Read more

Did Taylor University President Resign Due to Mike Pence?
Last updated on: June 25, 2019 at 2:33 pm By Kermit Zarley
Interdenominational Taylor University of Upland, Indiana, founded in 1846, is one of America’s oldest evangelical colleges. In 2017, U.S. News and World Report ranked it #1 among America’s Best Colleges in the Midwest Region, thus not only Christian colleges but secular colleges as well. Taylor’s student body is about 2,500. I’ve had friends who have graduated from Taylor University, and they have spoken highly of it. U.S. Vice President Mike Pence is an evangelical Christian from Indiana. He gave the... Read more

Trump-Kushner Peace Plan Will Be DOA Next Week
Last updated on: June 24, 2019 at 11:37 am By Kermit Zarley
As I have blogged before, the Trump-Kushner U.S. peace plan for solving the Israeli-Palestinian conflict will be DOA–Dead On Arrival. It will happen next week at a conference in Bahrain. But neither the leadership of Israel nor Palestinians will attend. Israel was told to stay home, and Palestinian leaders are boycotting it. Some expected participants reportedly are getting cold feet about it. Palestinian Authority President Mahmoud Abbas said it “will not pass because it ends the Palestinian cause.” Most Arab heads...
