The United States of America was largely formed by Europeans migrating here. Same for Canada. Thus, Europe and Canada have been the USA’s foremost allies in the world, especially the UK and then France. For example, the U.S. used its military power in coming to aid of Europe during WWII to defeat Adolf Hitler and his Nazi Party from taking over all of Europe. Afterwards, the North Atlantic Treaty Organization (NATO) was formed as a military defense alliance that included most of Europe, Canada, and the U.S. It’s purpose was only to protect member nations from outside attack.

The Soviet Union and the U.S. were the world’s two superpowers following WWII, and they got locked into the Cold War, with both having thousands of nuclear weapons aimed at each other. The Communistic and atheistic USSR was the #1 threat to the U.S. throughout all those decades until it collapsed on December 26, 1991. Thereafter, the U.S. has remained the world’s #1 superpower. Somebody in Russia hates that.

Russia Is a Big Threat to Europe and the U.S.

Vladimir Putin was a Soviet KGB agent from 19775 to 1991. He became president of Russia in 2000. As president, he has always blamed certain people for the collapse of the USSR. And he has wanted to restore Russia to its former glory of medieval times, partly by expanding its territory and thus invading and taking over neighboring nations, just like the Soviet Union did with Eastern Europe. Putin therefore is not only a threat to Europe, but the U.S. as well.

But that is not how U.S. President Donald Trump sees it. He strangely likes Putin, a man who murders his political rivals and suppresses fair elections and freedoms in Russia. His dictatorial style is much like that of his Soviet predecessors. They were bent on destroying democracy and forcefully establishing communism worldwide. Soviet Premier Nikita Khruschchev had said boldly to the U.S., “We will bury you!” That’s what Putin wants to do, and it looks like Trump is aiding him in doing it.

Putin Lied about Having No Intentions of Invading Ukraine

In early 2022, Vladimir Putin marshaled 100,000 Russian troops to the Russian-Ukraine border. Putin and his Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov repeatedly denied that Moscow had any plans to invade Ukraine, which was a great big lie! Ukraine is a very significant nation in Europe that has wanted to join NATO. Regarding this war, which Ukraine did not provoke whatsoever, Trump in his second term as U.S. president has been a complete embarrassment to the U.S. as the leading democracy in the world and a member of NATO.

First of all, when Trump was told of Russia’s invasion of Ukraine, he called it and Putin’s two prior days of political maneuvering “genius.” Russia, a member of the UN Security Council, had invaded a democratic European country as it had done in 2014 by taking over Ukraine’s Crimean Peninsula and making it part of Russia. Since they had done that, why would anyone believe Putin and Lavrov were being truthful?

Trump Blasts Zelensky: Courageous Hero Deserving Rewards

Secondly, Trump has blasted Ukraine’s courageous President Volodymyr Zelensky so many times, accusing him of actually causing this Russia invasion, which is the exact opposite of the truth. On February 19, 2025, Trump called Zelensky a “modestly successful comedian” and a “Dictator of Elections” who “has done a terrible job.” Ridiculous! The man should get all kinds of rewards that Trump covets, tries to get, and can’t. Nine days later in the Oval Office, Vice President Vance blasted Zelensky in a most embarrassing takedown that set him up for Trump to then tell Zelensky, “You don’t have any cards,” meaning Ukraine should totally surrender to Russia in this war. Trump then temporarily suspended U.S. military aid to Ukraine.

Donald Trump—You Can’t Believe a Word This Guy Says

Donald Trump has always been a guy who flip flops back and forth on all kinds of stuff. Thus, as I tell about him in my book, Bible Predicts Trump Fall, you can’t believe a word this guy says! For example, at the July NATO summit this year, Trump said Zelensky had “done an amazing job” that was “very effective.” But because Trump’s war of choice in Iran, begun in late February this year, is going very badly for him, causing oil prices to escalate and thereby threatening mid-term elections for Republicans, Trump removed sanctions against Russia and purchased Russian diesel oil to try to lower prices. Yet that funds Russia’s war effort. Majority, bi-partisan Congressional criticism about it further lessens Republican efforts to control both houses of Congress in the election now two weeks off. Trump exacerbated that by saying days ago, “time for Ukraine to get a new president.” When Trump was then asked by the media if Russia needs a new president, Trump changed the subject.

Why does my book have this title. The Bible says, “Pride goes before destruction, and a haughty spirit before a fall” (Proverbs 16.18 NRSV). And it says, “When pride comes, then comes disgrace” (Proverbs 11.2). I ask you, does that fit Donald Trump?

U.S.—Time to Get a New President

Most Americans are anti-Russia, pro-Europe (where are roots are), and therefore support Ukraine in this brutal assault against it by Russia. But not Donald Trump. Why is this?

As I have blogged numerous times, I think Donald Trump has been a Russian asset since the late 1980s, when he went to Moscow trying to build a Trump hotel there. See my posts, “Is Donald Trump a Russian Asset?” and “AI Chatbot Grok Says Trump Likely A Russian Asset.” United States of America—time to get a new president!
