Patheos Explore the world's faith through different perspectives on religion and spirituality! Patheos has the views of the prevalent religions and spiritualities of the world.
A sampling from Facebook and Twitter:
“The following is an exhaustive, unabridged list of scandals—sexual, financial, or otherwise—in which Billy Graham was involved:
The End.
99 years of integrity.”Billy Graham, America’s preacher, and one of the most respected men in my lifetime, has been welcomed into heaven. “Well done, good and faithful servant.” ~Kurt Bubna
I am thankful for the legacy of Dr. Billy Graham. His character, integrity, and message will live on and continue to impact people for generations to come! His life and legacy continues to be a guide and model for me to follow as a pastor and leader.
“Someday you will read or hear that Billy Graham is dead. Don’t you believe a word of it. I shall be more alive than I am now. I will just have changed my address. I will have gone into the presence of God.” ~ Billy Graham (quoted by dozens in my own social feeds)
In a 2007 interview, @BillyGraham was asked how he wanted to be remembered: “That I was faithful to the message that He gave and faithful to the calling that He gave me to go into the world and preach the gospel. That’s how I’d like to be remembered.”
Billy Graham was beloved by both Christians and non-Christians, admired by those who love Jesus and those who have rejected Him. And with his passing today, we are at a loss for words in many ways. ~ Ed Stetzer
Rest in peace and thank you for all of your inspiration Rev @BillyGraham, “Courage is contagious. When a brave man takes a stand, the spines of others are often stiffened.” ~ US Secret Service
