Last updated on: June 13, 2020 at 3:57 pm By Cyndi Brannen
Medea is the eternal witch. Her archetype is one of the woman feared by men so much that they transformed her into a creature to be vilified. This is not the truth of Medea. As Hekate has risen, so has this eternal witch-daughter of hers. She meets us at the crossroads where she tells us the truth of her story. Hekate and the Summer Solstice: Suggestions for Themes, Rituals and Correspondences
Last updated on: June 18, 2020 at 7:16 pm By Cyndi Brannen
The Summer Solstice is the time to acknowledge Hekate as the Keeper of the Keys of all creation and along our personal journey. Three contemporary ways to incorporate Hekate into solstice workings include a gratitude ritual, personal sovereignty work and seeking her assistance for shadow taming. Using plants, symbols, colors and other correspondences associated with Hekate adds strength to these workings. I offer suggestions including Dittany of Crete and Fiery Flower of Creation symbolism as examples of correspondences and symbols that can greatly enhance our rituals evoking Hekate on the Summer Solstice. Artemis, Wild Goddess: Her Story, Themes, Correspondences and More
Last updated on: June 13, 2020 at 3:03 pm By Cyndi Brannen
Artemis the solitary hunter, stalking her prey and yielding to no man has always been a symbol of sovereignty. She is, above all, the Mistress of Arrows, whether in her epithets linking her with Hekate as "far shooting" or when she took down Orion. Her arrows were always true, providing us with many lessons on how we should always aim for the heart. Read more
