Don’t Take My Word For It–Ask Kathy Ireland About Abortion

Don’t Take My Word For It–Ask Kathy Ireland About Abortion 2016-09-30T15:53:45-05:00 Kathy Schiffer

Kathy Ireland is arguably one of the world’s most beautiful women.  She also seems to be really nice.  No–REALLY nice.

A supermodel in the 1980s and 1990s, she founded her own company Kathy Ireland Worldwide.  Among other things, she designs wedding dresses and gowns.

But here’s what I love:  Ireland spoke at the fourth Youth Assembly at the United Nations Headquarters on August 13, 2007 encouraging young people to engage in activities aimed at ending poverty.   Ireland’s sister, Cynthia, has a child with Down syndrome. Ireland wrote an article about her niece and the need for an increase in research.  Other Ireland-supported causes include Big Brothers Big Sisters, St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, the Alliance for Global Education, the Alliance for Christian Education and the Make-a-Wish Foundation.

Wait, there’s more:  She and her companies donated $10 million to supplement the 2013 annual Marine Corps’ Toys For Tots gathering and distribution of Christmas gifts for millions of at-risk children and youths.

Ireland has written six books, including three for children.   Her debut effort (with Laura Morton), Powerful Inspirations: Eight Lessons that Will Change Your Life, was published in 2002.  Real Solutions for Busy Moms: Your Guide to Success and Sanity and Real Solutions for Busy Moms Devotional: 52 God-Inspired Messages for Your Heart were published in 2009. Her children’s storybook, Story Reader 3-Book Kathy Ireland Library: An Angel Called Hope; Mona’s Favorite Words; What Do Mommies Do? was released in November 2005.

Here, though, is what I really wanted to show you today:  Kathy Ireland’s appearance on Huckabee to discuss abortion.

God bless her for her generosity, and for her willingness to stand up for the unborn.
