I am thrilled to welcome you to my new corner of the internet!
Previously, I blogged under “Musings From a Romanian Girl” on a free wordpress. It has faithfully served it’s purpose for years, and been with me through four years of college at Liberty University, seen me through some of the best and worst times of my life, and been an intimate part of me for so long.
So, why the change?
Well, I’ve been toying around with the idea of purchasing a domain for awhile. (Your own domain is simply www.yoursitename.com) At first I was going to stick with “Musings From a Romanian Girl”, however the name doesn’t fit me anymore.
I’ve grown and changed so much since starting the blog, and I decided that the name should change as well. Of course, all of the thoughts will technically still be musings from a Romanian girl.
However, I’m not the girl that started the blog back in 2009 as she was entering college as a bright eyed and bushy tailed freshmen.
I’m becoming a woman…
– I’ve graduated college.
– I’ve started a full-time job.
– I moved to a brand new city three weeks after receiving a job offer.
– I’m living on my own.
– I’ve weathered some of the hardest times in my life
As I continue on this journey of life, I invite you to join me!
I don’t have life figured out – but then again, who really does? Thankfully I serve a great and powerful God who leads and guides me.
So, what can you expect from this new blog?
1) First of all, take a few moments and click around the new site. I have spent hours redesigning and getting it up and running. Check out my new “About me” page, read about my family, my adoption story, etc. I’m pleased with how the new site turned out! What are your thoughts?
2) The Joy Project
I started The Joy Project as a way to count my blessings and seek to experience the joys that the Lord gave me more deeply. Every day, I write down one thing that brings me joy and that I’m thankful for. Some days are easier than others. At the end of each month, I publish a round up of my joys for that month! Read more in depth about The Joy Project here.
3) Monday Musings
Let’s face it. No one really likes Monday’s. So often we use the breath that God gave us to complain, and it rears its ugly head on Monday mornings! Awhile ago, I started writing weekly posts on Mondays in order to be a breath of fresh air. Typically it’s just a bunch of random, hopefully encouraging thoughts, pictures, videos, etc. Basically whatever is on my mind is shared on Monday’s.
Thank you for reading.
I look forward to sharing this new and exciting adventure with you! I ask for your patience as I build the content on this new site. In the next few days, I will be re-releasing some of my favorite pieces from my old site.
