Merry Christmas!!

Last updated on: December 25, 2010 at 8:52 am   By John Shore

MERRY CHRISTMAS!!! I hope you guys are all having the best Christmases you could ever ask for. Remember: it’s all about the presents. If your loved ones didn’t give you exactly what you wanted—which is to say, presents so spectacularly awesome that they leave you fulfilled in every possible way for the rest of your life—don’t forget to be completely bitter toward them. Because, really, nothing says Christmas like, “You’ve let me down.” So, go on. Share the resentment. Ha,... Read more

Merry Christmas! But I’m Sad …

Last updated on: December 23, 2010 at 10:26 am   By John Shore

Just a quick note to say hi to you guys. Merry almost Christmas! Cat’s upstairs, asleep. Thus far we’ve had a marvelous week off. Spent two days at the U.S. Grant Hotel in downtown San Diego. Visited our old haunts throughout the downtown area, where we used to live. Lovely all around. While we were having that fun, my father, in North Carolina (where he lives) took a fall in the parking lot of a bank, hitting his head. That... Read more

Ho, Ho, I’m Outta Here

Last updated on: December 20, 2010 at 10:38 pm   By John Shore

Blog break! My wife Catherine is off work until Dec. 26. Between now and then I shan’t be blogging. Below are some posts of mine from Christmas seasons past. I hope that each and every one of you is having a wonderful Christmas season. The Day “Merry Christmas!” Died Whither Hast Thou Gone, Carolers? Go to Work as the Twelve Days of Christmas! I Laughed So Hard At This I Feared for My Life Strange Fruit; Flattened by Flapjacks; Lonely... Read more

What’s Not to Love?

Last updated on: December 16, 2010 at 9:10 pm   By John Shore

Thank you, Erin D., of a town in state all the way across the country from me. (I’m crazy wary about giving out anyone’s personal info, so … hence my abstruseness, which is a word that for some reason just annoys me, but there it is.) Erin is the good-hearted woman who suggested this tee-shirt in the first place. She is due this month. Send the girl some love. Read more

John, Across the Waters

Last updated on: December 11, 2010 at 3:24 pm   By John Shore

To those of my fans abroad, I deeply apologize for recently having made available for sale my tee-shirt and book only in the United States. That was a gross oversight on my part that has now been rectified. From now on, if you try to buy anything from me, you will see that I ship to any country on the planet. And from now through December 18, I will ship all purchases for the flat fee of only $3.00 USD. Read more
