God Heals My Spiritual Injuries
“On that day— this is the Lord’s declaration— I will assemble the lame and gather the scattered, those I have injured. I will make the lame into a remnant, those far removed into a strong nation. Then the Lord will rule over them in Mount Zion from this time on and forever.” (Micah 4:6–7, HCSB)

At a future time, God will bring everyone HE has injured and bring them together. He will assemble and gather those who are
lame, those He injured.
This is a verse about the Israelites. While it may include physical injury, I think this has more to do with national pride.
However, on a personal note, there are many people who think that God has personally injured them. They blame God for the bad things that have happened in their lives.
Yes, in this verse, it states that God caused the pain. Sometimes, God allows pain into our lives to teach us. He is a not a cruel sadist who looks forward to seeing us in pain.
The Israelites were unfaithful to God and this caused a series of events that led to their national injury – the exile.
In the same way, from God’s point of view we have been unfaithful. He created us to be with Him forever. Yet, while we are on this Earth, we get the idea sometimes that we don’t need God. That’s when the pain starts. We get injured (socially, physically, mentally, emotionally, or spiritually) and our first reaction is to blame God.
The reaction to blame God reveals that all injuries are ultimately spiritual in nature. We get hurt in this world, but we can also get hurt in our spirit. So we blame God for it.
Just as in Micah’s time, God will reassure His people who, even though we have been injured (and yes we think God did it), He is still there and He will initiate the healing process.
You ever notice that even though we are blaming God for the pain, it is God who starts the healing process? I don’t have the power to heal myself. I need God to do it. I can’t make myself strong. Only God can do that.
Prayer: God, even though I am injured, I pray that you will heal me. Please help me realize that you want to help me not hurt me. You want to make a me a strong person. Thank you for your healing power.
