Whole Woman Series: Azalea McKinney & The Perfect Launch

Whole Woman Series: Azalea McKinney & The Perfect Launch 2017-02-22T12:40:15-04:00 Kerry Connelly

LOGO Patheos Explore the world's faith through different perspectives on religion and spirituality! Patheos has the views of the prevalent religions and spiritualities of the world.

I remember the day like it was yesterday, and the sinking feeling in my stomach as the realization dawned: in order to be happy, I could never have a boss. I had to be an entrepreneur.

I had just done a values assessment, and realized that my number one value is freedom. I want the freedom to be who I am supposed to be, to say what’s on my mind, to use my time as I see fit. The only way I can do that and make money was to have my own business, with a brand that aligned with my values, and clients I could fire if necessary.

My stomach dropped because I already knew how hard entrepreneurship is. And it’s hard.  But for some of us, if we’re going to do the thing God has called us to do, and be the person God has called us to be, it requires the freedom to do just that. That’s a scary prospect — at least for me. It required a whole lot of faith, because for me, it meant giving up a nice, steady paycheck to depend on clients, who sometimes come, and sometimes go (by the nature of my business). It requires effort and belief in self and investments of time and energy. Sometimes, even just letting people know you’re in business is scary because you wonder — what are they going to think?

Of course, it’s also wholly rewarding. Not having to ask permission to take a day off to be with my kids is priceless, for example. Being able to say whatever I want to say — burning issues in my heart and mind — on this blog and on social media is also important. Having faith that my tribe would find me — that was a little scary. There are a lot of parts to launching a business.

AzaleaMcKinneyMaybe you’re feeling the same way — like you’re ready to make the leap, and you’re just not sure how to proceed. That’s why Lisa and I want to introduce you to Azalea McKinney, a business expert who’s ready to teach you her proven 10-step process to starting a business, from mindset to launch at The Whole Woman Summit. Any woman ready to start her entrepreneurial journey — or getting ready to launch a new product, service or endeavor — will love this session, as Azalea will teach you how to create the business of your dreams and the lifestyle you desire. After this session, attendees will feel confident and equipped to launch a business successfully, to learn to listen to your intuition, and up-level your mindset to create the kinds of shifts that inspire action in branding, marketing and sales.

See you at the summit!

The Whole Woman SummitEach Friday for the next few months, I’ll be writing about one of the amazing women who are speaking at The Whole Woman Summit in March. These are women who are movers and shakers, Christian and not, who are doing very cool things in the world. The summit is all about the things that matter — MIND. BODY. SPIRIT. WORK. RELATIONSHIPS. JUSTICE. The summit is entirely online, and all registrants will receive video recordings of all sessions, so no worries if you miss any.

See you at the summit!
