Today is sort of a Dream-Come-True kind of day for me. There are a few big things happening — in a few moments, I’ll hit the button to send off the first draft of my finished manuscript for my first book, a devotional called PAUSE: Making Time To Walk With God. Then, I’ll move into tech dress week for The Whole Woman Summit, a project that I’ve dreamed about doing for ages, and is finally here — next week, we go live.

It’s been a long road to this day — a road filled with twist and turns and bends in the path that I couldn’t always see around. It took me a long time to find my one thing — writing, the one thing I’m good at that I love doing and would do it for free (well, okay, let’s face it. I do do it for free most of the time!). It was scary to trust that I could lean on this gift and have it pay off. And starting the Whole Woman Summit was one of the hardest things I’ve ever done, but it’s also been one of the most rewarding.

It’s taken me a long time to get here, and it’s possible that this is simply the road I needed to travel in order to arrive at my destination. But what if I’d had someone asking me the right questions to validate my path a long time ago? Would I have arrived here faster? Would my journey have been different?

As a Lean Startup Evangelist and Organizer, April trained and coached entrepreneurs on quick idea and business validation. But what about life validation? In her 5-step Landing on Purpose program, April will teach you to live a “lean life” which she defines as a life on mission and a mission in action. She will help you discover what you’re meant to do here on earth AND how that knowledge can better inform your everyday choices. Any mom, student, or entrepreneur who struggles with connecting their passions to major life decisions will benefit from this session.Attendees will understand how to move forward with focused direction and intention to live out their passions and impact the world around them.

I’m so excited to hear what April has to teach — and here’s a secret: April is an amazing singer, and she’ll be opening up our Summit with a song! I’m so excited!

Each Friday for the next few months, I’ll be writing about one of the amazing women who are speaking at The Whole Woman Summit in March. These are women who are movers and shakers, Christian and not, who are doing very cool things in the world. The summit is all about the things that matter — MIND. BODY. SPIRIT. WORK. RELATIONSHIPS. JUSTICE. The summit is entirely online, and all registrants will receive video recordings of all sessions, so no worries if you miss any.
