Close-out Sale – How to Book of Evangelization

Close-out Sale – How to Book of Evangelization 2026-10-25T17:03:11-05:00 Jennifer Fitz

LOGO Patheos Explore the world's faith through different perspectives on religion and spirituality! Patheos has the views of the prevalent religions and spiritualities of the world.

Quick side note about a book sale, please let anyone who’d be interested know about it, and here shortly you’ll get a proper post on what I’m doing for Martinmas this year.

Backstory: I received word recently from Our Sunday Visitor that The How-to Book of Evangelization is going out of print in early November. I’m pleased to see that if you order directly from OSV’s website, they are now down to $5 a copy, which is a phenomenal deal.

=> When rights revert to me, we’ll be out of print for quite a while, but I can assure you that given what paper costs these days, even with a future edition you are highly unlikely to ever see that good of a price again.

Also, I’m not aware of any expected changes in our hypothetical future edition, so you aren’t missing out on some secret evangelization technique I was sitting on for the big second-printing reveal.

Thus, please, go ahead and jump on it. I do not have an update on what current inventory levels are, but if you are looking at a bulk order for a parish or diocese, give OSV a call and see what they can do for you.

If you’re curious, no I don’t have a plan yet for how I’m going to proceed. The choices are to see if another publisher would like to pick up the title (unlikely, since I’m not in a position to do big events and sales promotions, hence OSV stepping aside) or else go with one of the many independent/self-publishing options.

The option that lets readers access the book with minimal hassle from my end will be the one that wins.

About Jennifer Fitz

Jennifer Fitz writes about whatever's on her mind. Lucky for you, the editors at OSV made me delete the worst of it (just a couple chapters) and turn out a very solid, respectable, but nonetheless to-the-point compendium of this whole evangelization thing. You can read more about the author here.
