Advent in Revelation to Second Advent and beyond

Last updated on: July 26, 2021 at 7:38 pm By Rev. Jared V. Ingle

This is the final piece, last in a series from the Hebrew Bible and Revelation. Admittedly, it’s messy Eschatology at worse, but it is true to the text and narrative at best. My hope has not been to interpret the passages for you, but rather to share them, review the story, and perhaps lead you to draw some conclusions. These are primarily my views and those of my faith tribe. I’m sure we can talk about various views, but I... Read more

An informal look at the ways we all traverse with an illustration from the afternoon jog and the Lord’s Prayer | Matthew 6.9-13 Meet Rev. Jared Ingle I’ve been in ministry since 1993. I have logged countless hours counseling in college and counseling settings. Also, I offer online counseling for clients in the state of Michigan. I’ve consulted with ministers from the local level to world movements. I’ve taught as adjunct college faculty. I write for a big house and... Read more

control vs. sin or the strip club

Last updated on: July 15, 2021 at 8:46 pm By Rev. Jared V. Ingle

In seminary, I took the scenic route (code for the long road). Students were coming back to get a second masters degree. Surprisingly, I wasn’t the only one. I can remember being in classes with M.Div. students and then being in other classes later with some of the same students. They were now counseling students. i. I would always ask why they were coming back More than once I heard that they were in ministry positions after their M.Div., but nobody... Read more

Revelation 12 | story within a story

Last updated on: July 26, 2021 at 7:33 pm By Rev. Jared V. Ingle

Revelation 12 is an intentional intercalation (story within a story). This is a writing device to offer some backstory, as John seems to be doing. I’ve been sharing some videos and vlogs on Revelation. It’s very difficult to teach because there are so many different opinions. i. Was C.S. Lewis an Oxford Don?

Last updated on: July 9, 2021 at 4:38 pm By Rev. Jared V. Ingle

When I talked to the other professor about why C.S. Lewis wouldn’t be considered among the Oxford Dons, he was kind of sad about the idea. He explained that C.S. Lewis almost blatantly refused to write to the academie, refused to write to a higher level. the great C.S. Lewis debate C.S. here are other views on Revelation

Last updated on: July 7, 2021 at 1:10 pm By Rev. Jared V. Ingle

Then here is my nemesis, my temptation… Some people believe they can reinterpret the Early Church, or First Century Church beliefs. At times I am tempted to do so, but then I remember…. I am continuing the series on Revelation. You can have multiple views of Revelation if you like. Read into it whatever you want. I personally am a Pre-Millennial, Pre-Tribulation, Rapture believing Christian. I think it’s just as good of a view as anything out there. here are... Read more

the times from Revelation 4 onward

Last updated on: July 1, 2021 at 5:50 pm By Rev. Jared V. Ingle

Well, I’m on a path today I wasn’t expecting to be on. I was hoping to be jogging today, but it looks like I’m either on a rain delay or I’m going to have to opt out for a different form of exercise. One or the other, I’ve got to do what I’ve got to do. I’m on a path right now that is unique to me and one of the reasons is because I am standing under a tremendous... Read more

nothing new really on Revelation 1-3

Last updated on: June 30, 2021 at 5:48 pm By Rev. Jared V. Ingle

Revelation is the only book of the Bible with a blessing like this. I hope you’re having a good week so far. I want to let you know I’m going to be revisiting some of the vlogs that I’ve been putting out there recently, hoping to clarify some things, and maybe make them into a series. Extraneous factors and a diet that I’ve been on have made things a little bit difficult to focus on at times. There’s a lot... Read more
