Patheos Explore the world's faith through different perspectives on religion and spirituality! Patheos has the views of the prevalent religions and spiritualities of the world.

* Juxtaposition before this article || “it keeps no record of being wronged . . . full of grace and truth . . . speaking the truth in love” (1 Cori xiii.5 NLT; Jn i.14 HCSB; Eph iv.15 NIV).
These Passages are not diametrically opposed, but I struggle weaving them together in my journal, truly, honestly. You never know what I’m going to write in my Moleskine wanna-be leather bound little Think Ink notebook from Tennessee.
Furthermore, this is not a daily notebook or a scrapbook. I don’t quite jive with those writing genres anymore.

As I laid in bed this morning, not wanting to get up, I prayed for a break from the wife’s arguments, our arguments. She’s been a lot nicer, but as soon as she got a chance with me alone, she asked for me to find a counselor. She has trouble with how she views me. She’s nicely pushing for it yet won’t give in, even though I have been giving in for quite awhile. I don’t even have the stress of the move behind me.
Can we say ALL in due time?
In other news, I’m enjoying this Prayer Guide for Valley Church Roanoke and their Daniel Fast.
I’m stuck on page 33, about FAVOR.
“I ask you for favor and blessing in anything my hands touch (surrender specific efforts to Him.”
Let my hands be blessed with Your favor. I’m tired of others having the upper hand.
What can my hands still accomplish for You, as scarred and beat up as they are? Can they work in Your favor?

For the record, the wife and I found a break in time she was comfortable with on Sunday afternoon. Everything has to align quickly though, but it was fun.
Sunday night I read a couple prayers to her from Valley Church Roanoke, their prayer book. Monday night I read a couple to someone else in the household, and last night I attended a newcomer’s class while she went to a close relative’s game; only one family member allowed (precautions with rampant sicknesses). Great talks later with the teacher, who’s from the district. He’s a friend of Perry Stone who has a massive prayer center in Cleveland, TN. Perry used to be in a sister denomination and he went to his summer camp! There was a really cool story there too!

Yesterday I completed a couple job applications and was advised to call about one.
Tita Carmen texted a bit and shared cat pics LOL
Today I planned to walk to the library.
I can work much faster on their computers.
There are other job openings of interests, but no churches.

Yesterday a lady called from our all-inclusive clinic about the time I was struggling to finish my cover letter for Director of The Place.
After our call I realized I had written ENOUGH.
And then an (800) number gave me a ring on the telly, which is something I rarely answer, if at all. Yet I picked up anyway to get a reminded by a lady of the process from the American Red Cross for a platelets draw. Some time will be involved, but I get 15 mins of snacks, maybe a working $10 gift card. Then I wrapped up the online application, taking awhile to make sure everything wasn’t about something else, and submitted.

The in-laws watching TV with their door closed; one playing video games online in a verbal forum with his gaudy headset; another taking a shower; the wife sitting at the table with 2 laptops open and two jars of water and two big eyes with her hair pulled up in a ponytail and wrapped in the scarf a nephew and I picked out for her working her head off; another nephew’s birthday, and:
I NEED TO FIGURE OUT RIDE SITUATIONS FOR UPCOMING APPOINTMENTS.
I’m not sure were going to church tomorrow. I finished Dante’s Paradisio today with a lecture from Fred Sanders (Biola, “The Chalcedonian Box”), not Brian Williams (I miss Matt Williams his brother).

I don’t know who to reach out to, so I IM’d someone from Fuller and he thought I was talking about being a reader for my thesis or something else, so I added a little clarity I hope, or maybe he did . . .
* Interjection || ‘The wind blows where it pleases, and you hear its sound, but you don’t know where it comes from or where it is going. So it is with everyone born of the Spirit” (Jn iii.8; HCSB).
Sometimes my communiques are simply with one person in mind, even my verbal or YouTube ones. It’s a way of preparing to niche down; audience of 1. I may never have the greatest platform anyway.
Too humid today (90% at the outset) to jog 3.16 miles, get physical, and vent frustrations.
I thought of posting this, since, it’s reading week, but somebody told me more than once, “Nobody wants to read your journals” and that kinda’ hurt.
Well anyway . . .
I don’t know what to say because I’m not quite sure that’s it.
At any rate . . .
