The million dollar question when it comes to healing is “Why not me?” or “Why her? Why not him?”  Those are things that we will not necessarily understand here. – Crystal Ingle

I hope you enjoyed Crystal’s teaching on divine healing, and the personal testimony that she shared.[1]  We’re going to continue as she discusses the million dollar question, “Why not me?”

Crystal is teaching on the Pentecostal Church of God doctrine of divine healing.[2] For more of her teaching, listen-in:

Crystal Ingle “Why not me?”

The million dollar question when it comes to healing is “Why not me?” or “Why her? Why not him?”  Those are things that we will not necessarily understand here.

When people see something wrong in the world, whether it’s sin, or a need for healing, they always will point back to Adam.  “Well he did it!  We live in a fallen world!”  I think that is a part of it.

We live in a fallen world and there’s not going to be perfection here.  There’s just not until it’s redeemed, and until we are restored and redeemed completely with Him.  Does that mean that we give up hope?  Not at all.  Does that mean that there will not be redemption and healing now?  No, it does not mean that.

Crystal reads excepts of an article by Mark Yarbrough.[3]

In the Evangelical world, we want the Resurrection without the Cross.  We want the power and glory without the suffering.  We want to get to the good and forget all of the bad that came before it, all that Christ went through.

He died on the Cross and we’re really grateful that He did that, because if He didn’t we wouldn’t be saved, but Man! Look at the power, look at what comes after, and look at the Holy Spirit!  Just look at what sends us forth!  Look at speaking in tongues, and the healings, and the miracles, and the signs, and the wonders!

. . . but what came before?  It was enduring the cross.  It was the suffering.  He says, “My power is made perfect in weakness” (2 Corinthians 12.9).
