About
Interspirituality for the Modern Day Seeker is written and moderated by mindfulness teacher, author, and columnist Gudjon Bergmann, who has been a part of the global spiritual community since the 90s. He trained with yoga masters Yogi Shanti Desai (1998 to present) and Yogi Hari (2004 and 2005) and has been deeply influenced by writers such as Ken Wilber, Huston Smith, Aldous Huxley, M. Scott Peck, and William James. His approach has been simultaneously intellectual and experiential, earning him the dubious title of ‘skeptical mystic’ in his circle of friends. To better understand the world’s religions, Bergmann entered All Faiths Seminary in 2016 and was ordained as an Interfaith Minister in 2017. His immersive studies resulted in a thesis called, Experifaith, which posited that although the world’s religions were not the same, human experience tied them together. He has since worked with organizations such as Charter for Compassion, Interfaith Action of Central Texas, Dialogue Institute Austin, and New Light Temple. In 2021, Bergmann received the Radiant Light Award for his work in the field of interfaith and interspirituality.
Gudjon Bergmann has written thirty books in two languages, including two novels and a children’s book. He has trained thousands of people (in-person and online) and helped dozens of aspiring authors write and self-publish their books. He moved from Iceland to the USA in 2010 and became a U.S. citizen in 2013.
