Statistically, the probability of any of us being here is so small that you’d think the mere fact of existing would keep us all in contented dazzlement of surprise.

— Lewis Thomas

Sure, life has its problems. But even the most massive set of problems cannot begin to compare to the wonder and amazement of existence and, more specifically, your very own existence.

You exist. Right here and now, in this place, in this moment. And not only do you exist, you can do all sorts of amazing things. If you should happen to run out of amazing things to do, you can activate your miraculous imagination and think of countless other amazing things to do. On top of that, you can feel love, you can be completely overwhelmed by beauty, you can know the thrill of passionate purpose, and you can experience the ecstasy of joy.

Have you ever thought of the things you would do if you won the lottery? Well, guess what — you HAVE won the most valuable lottery there is. You are here, alive, aware, empowered, and immersed in a vast sea of limitless possibilities.

The problems? Yes, they add some flavor and color and drama to things, and they give you the precious opportunity to make a difference. Remember this, though — the problems, as burdensome and complicated as they may be, are limited. The positive possibilities, on the other hand, have no such limit.

Your very existence is truly amazing. Be amazed, be genuinely and profoundly thankful, and you’ll create even more amazing value.
