Patheos Explore the world's faith through different perspectives on religion and spirituality! Patheos has the views of the prevalent religions and spiritualities of the world.
Abundance gets blocked when you try to live life on someone else’s terms, when you adopt the goals and dreams of someone else. You are your own person and the abundance in your life is special and unique. Don’t depend on someone else to tell you what is joyful and fulfilling. Whatever gives you true, pure joy is joyful. Whatever brings you fulfillment is fulfilling. It is in no way selfish to be your own person. In fact, it is a very loving and giving thing to do. You have something unique to offer. The selfish thing would be not to offer it.
Be yourself. Follow your own dreams. Do what you love to do. Find situations that will challenge you to be your best. Be around others who bring out and who appreciate your true, unique value.
You are enough. There’s no need to waste your energy in trying to be someone else. No one is better than you. And what you do best, is being you. Wishing or pretending you’re something that you’re not, robs precious time and energy from being the best you can be. There’s plenty of cause for joy in the person that you are.
There’s no richness in living someone else’s life. Be who you are. Fulfill your own unique destiny. Don’t worry about what is the “right” car to drive or the “right” neighborhood to live in or the “right” kind of clothes to wear. Such pronouncements are only for those who don’t have the confidence to connect with their own abundance.
