Patheos Explore the world's faith through different perspectives on religion and spirituality! Patheos has the views of the prevalent religions and spiritualities of the world.
Intro
Today I want to talk with you about endurance and never giving up or giving out. I am revisiting a blog I did in 2005 on PodcastPeople.com. Friends, do not give up or give out when experiencing trials and tribulations. Endurance is one of the great marks of faithful discipleship. Life often brings seasons of uncertainty, weariness, opposition, loss, and spiritual testing. Scripture teaches that those who belong to Yeshua are called to endure. They endure because He is faithful, and we must remain faithful too. We as believers must stay in continual prayer.
Yeshua’s Strength
His Spirit strengthens us, and His promise remains true. In Matthew 28:20 (CJB), He says: “And remember, I will be with you always, yes, even until the end of the age.” This promise is not merely comforting words; it is the foundation for courageous obedience. Yeshua sends His followers into a world that will challenge their faith, but He does not send them alone. His presence goes with them through every generation, every trial, every mission, and every dark valley.
Hope Through Yeshua
Knowing that Yeshua is with us until the end of time changes how believers face hardship. Jesus does not abandon His servants trying to survive until He returns. We are covenant people accompanied by the risen Messiah. His presence means guidance when the way is unclear, strength when we are weak, correction when we lose our way, peace when fear rises, and hope when the world seems unstable.
Endurance Is Faithfulness Over Time
Yeshua taught that “the one who endures to the end will be saved.” Endurance does not mean that believers never struggle, grieve, question, or grow tired. Rather, endurance means continuing to trust God during struggles. It means refusing to let suffering, distraction, temptation, or fear have the final word. It means clinging to Yeshua when circumstances try to pull the heart away from Him. Remain faithful to God and stay constant in prayer. Scriptures can help during tough times.

Remaining Hopeful
Often, we find it easier to doubt than believe. However, as believers, we must remain hopeful and not lose faith. We are God’s, and as God’s children, He will never abandon us. Each day becomes an opportunity to say, “Yeshua, I trust You, and I will keep walking with You.”
Yeshua With Us in Trials
The presence of Yeshua does not mean that His followers will avoid trouble. In John 16:33 (CJB), he uttered the following words of confirmation: “I have said these things to you so that, united with me, you may have Shalom. In the world, you have tsuris. But be brave! I have conquered the world!” His truth keeps endurance from becoming despair. The believer’s hope is not based on easy circumstances but on the victorious Messiah who walks with His people through every circumstance.
For We Walk by Faith
Trials reveal what the heart is resting on. When comfort is removed, faith is tested. When plans fail, trust is examined. When prayers seem unanswered, patience is refined. Yet none of these moments are wasted in the hands of God. Yeshua uses hardship to deepen dependence, purify motives, strengthen character, and teach His people to live by faith rather than sight.
How Believers Endure Until the End
- Abide in prayer.
- Remain rooted in Scripture.
- Walk in obedience.
- Stay connected with believers.
- Keep your eyes on Yeshua.
The Hope Set Before Us
Enduring until the end is possible because the end belongs to Yeshua. History is not moving toward chaos without meaning; it is moving toward the fulfillment of God’s kingdom. The same Messiah who promised to be with His people until the end of the age also promised to come again. Therefore, believers endure not as those who are merely holding on to the past, but as those who are reaching forward toward the future God has secured.
Why We Do Not Give Up or Give Out
This hope gives courage in the present. Believers can endure disappointment because Yeshua is faithful, suffering because He is near, and spiritual battle because He has authority over heaven and earth. They can endure until the end because Yeshua is not only waiting at the finish line; He walks every step of the road with His people.

Conclusion
To endure until the end is to live with steady faith in the presence and promises of Yeshua. His words remain a source of strength for every generation: He is with us always, even to the end of the age. He is present, we are not alone. He is victorious, we are not defeated. He is faithful, we can keep going. The call to endure is also an invitation to trust: to trust that Yeshua will sustain us today, guide us tomorrow, and remain with us until the end of time. Remain faithful and obedient as stated in Romans 12:12 (CJB): “Rejoice in your hope, be patient in your troubles, and continue steadfastly in prayer.” To God be the glory always. Remember, do not give up or give out!
