Everyone<\/span>\u00a0is encouraged to go out in nature and plant trees.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n When Arbor Day was\u00a0<\/span>originally<\/span>\u00a0celebrated in the late 1800s, prizes were offered to counties and individuals for the\u00a0<\/span>largest<\/span>\u00a0number of properly planted trees\u00a0<\/span>on that day<\/span>. It<\/span>\u00a0was estimated that more than\u00a01 million\u00a0trees were planted in Nebraska on the<\/span>\u00a0first Arbor Day.<\/span><\/a><\/p>\n \u00a0<\/p>\n
