Justifying our Anger

To understand the meaning of Righteous Indignation, you have to consider that righteous indignation refers to Justified Anger or outrage in response to a perceived injustice or immorality. This term has nothing to do with religion as we have been taught, and typically involves a strong sense of moral righteousness.
It can manifest as an anger or passionate expression of disapproval towards wrongdoing. In some Religions and Cultures this emotion is often seen as a positive force for advocating change and addressing societal issues.
What does the Bible say about righteous indignation?

In Ephesians Chapter 4 verse 26. Righteous anger is acceptable when it is directed against sin, injustice, and evil deeds. Proverbs Chapter 6, verses 16- 19 tells us it should be motivated by love and a desire for justice. It should not be because you were personally offended and require retaliation.
How To Handle Righteous Indignation
Matthew Chapter 5 verse 39, reminds us to think on the teachings of Jesus and turn the other cheek while forgiving others.
The Bible also tells us that whenever we feel we need righteous indignation to solve an issue we should seek guidance from Scripture and prayer to discern whether our anger aligns with God’s Will. James Chapter 1 verses 19-20.
How to have a positive outcome using righteous indignation

One way is to channel your indignation into positive action, by addressing the issue and correcting the wrongs compassionately and righteously, but most importantly, we need to trust in God’s justice and remember that vengeance always belongs to him.
Dear God,
Help us to be more compassionate and full of grace when we are dealing with issues that we feel are immoral and unjust. Give us guidance on how to properly address the issue and correct it with love and compassion. Continue to show us how to live by Your Son’s example and turn the other cheek, and be slow to anger so that we can live fully in Your Love and Light. – Amen
