Today is the day the Lord has made. I know he has a sense of humor because today is National Pizza Day, February 9th, 2024. National Pizza Day is a time for pizza lovers all over the world to show their creativity and innovation with it comes to that special pie.

Pizza is not just considered a food staple in the United States it is a worldwide food staple. Pizza has influenced cultures and continues to keep everyone enamored with its flavor and culinary ease.

Today, if you have time, sit down and enjoy a nice slice of pizza. God not only wants us to enjoy our big triumphs but our small ones as well.

For those who cannot partake in Pizza Day for dietary reasons. I have posted a pizza alternative. Pizza Pasta Salad. It is delicious and perfect for parties and picnics.

Pizza Pasta Salad Recipe

Ingredients

3 Cups Penne Pasta, cooked, drained, and cooled
4 Tomatoes (1 1/2 lb), chopped
12 slices of hard salami, chopped
1 cup Kraft of Italian cheese crumbles
1/2 cup fresh basil
1/2 cup grated parmesan cheese
1/2 cup Kraft roasted red pepper Italian with parmesan cheese

Cooking Directions

Combine all ingredients
Refrigerate for 1 hour
Serve

Chef’s Tip: This dish is delicious served hot as well. If you just toss the pasta with the remaining ingredients. Serve immediately
