Martin Luther King’s Vision For Food Equity

” I have the audacity to believe that people everywhere can have three meals a day for their bodies, education, and culture for their minds and dignity, equality, and freedom for their spirit.”- Doctor Martin Luther King Jr. on food equity.

Doctor Martin Luther King Jr. was a Baptist Pastor as well as a chief spokesperson for nonviolent activism in the Civil Rights Movement, which protested racial discrimination in federal and state law.

Martin Luther King Jr. Day is the Birthday of Martin Luther King, Jr., January 15th, and often referred to as MLK Day. It is a federal holiday in the United States observed on the third Monday of January each year.

Doctor King’s nonviolent activism wasn’t just about racial discrimination or the economic plight of black Americans. Doctor King believed ALL people (all races and cultures) should have equal opportunities in life. He ultimately gave his life to not just advance racial and economic injustice, but also for Food security for millions of Americans. Let us continue to do his work.

I posted a special recipe. Everyone can utilize and enjoy it. Happy eating and many blessings!
