Working with the planets on a weekly basis is easy, as each day of the week corresponds to a planet. For those who wish to work with the elements on a weekly basis this is possible too, thanks to the work of Israel Regardie.

Naming the British days of the week:
“The names for the days of the weeks in many European countries come straight from the Roman days for the corresponding planets (but often with Sunday modified to the Lord’s day). However, the British resisted the seven day scheme until the Anglo-Saxon conquests of the 5th century inspired them to take up the Roman custom but with a twist. They inserted their own corresponding Germanic (Norse) gods in place of the Roman ones for four of the days of the week. Tuesday was named for Tiw, god of war (according to some), corresponding to Mars. Wednesday was named for Woden, god of wisdom and poetry, corresponding to Mercury. Thursday was named for Thor, god of lightning and protection, corresponding to Jupiter. Friday was named for Freya, god of love, corresponding to Venus.”
The Qabalistic Tree of Life can be seen as a blueprint of the universe. Its ten sefiroth can be used for a neat classification system. The eleventh one, Da’at, was omitted in earlier representations and doesn’t concern us in this discussion.
Here’s a neat summary of the ten / eleven sefiroth:
“The first sefirah, Keter, describes the divine superconscious Will that is beyond conscious intellect. The next three sefirot (Chokhmah, Binah and Da’at) describe three levels of conscious divine intellect. In particular, Da’at represents Keter in its knowable form, the concept of knowledge. Will and knowledge are corresponding somewhat dependent opposites. The seven subsequent sefirot (Chesed, Gevurah, Tiferet, Netzach, Hod, Yesod and Malkuth) describe the primary and secondary conscious divine emotions.”

I am focusing on the Greek gods. Those preferring to work with gods of other pantheons can consult 777 And Other Qabalistic Writings of Aleister Crowley: Including Gematria & Sepher by Aleister Crowley (Author), Israel Regardie (Editor, Introduction), where these gods have been mapped onto the Tree of Life.
Israel Regardie mapped the four elements onto the Tree of Life, where Tiferet corresponded to Fire, Netzach to Water, Hod to Air, and Yesod / Malkuth to Earth.
Jason Augustus Newcomb provides a neat summary of what these four elements represent in a practical sense:
“The element of earth can be seen as the animal needs of the human mind, the element of water the emotions, the element of air the intellect and the element of fire the will.”

I propose that Spirit (aether or quintessence) could be mapped onto the Supernal Triad consisting of Keter, Chokhmah, and Binah.
From this, we can deduce the optimal five days for working with the five elements as follows:
Sefirah

Day of the Week
Keter,
Chokmah,
Binah

Saturday
Tiferet
Fire
Sunday
Netzach
