Last updated on: July 27, 2020 at 8:31 am   By Bethany Blankley

According to an investigation published by the Lepanto Institute, U.S. Roman Catholic bishops through the Catholic Campaign for Human Development (CCHD) are funding organizations that coordinate riots and whose stated goals are to defund, and kill, the police. “The United States Conference of Catholic Bishops, through the Catholic Campaign for Human Development (CCHD), is funding organizations actively involved in calls for revolution, the killing of police officers, and the defunding of police departments,” the research and education organization states. “All of this... Read more

One for Israel exposes abusive teachings of rabbis, explains that Jesus loves and esteems women [videos]

Last updated on: July 21, 2020 at 3:10 pm   By Bethany Blankley

One For Israel, an evangelical Christian organization promoting the gospel to Jews and Muslims in Israel, has exposed Rabbinical teachings that oppose scripture and “put women in darkness and shame.” The group’s hope by exposing the abusive teachings of some rabbis is “to shine the light of truth” to show that Yeshua loves and esteems women. “While the Bible presents women as heroes, the ‘oral Torah’ (Talmud) invented by the rabbis, often presents women in a completely different way,” One... Read more

Groups lists products for which aborted baby tissue is used for testing, vaccine information

Last updated on: July 23, 2020 at 8:03 am   By Bethany Blankley

Children of God for Life has researched, reported on, and released lists and information, to inform consumers and the general public about products that are tested with cells from aborted babies. The group has also published information about the use of aborted baby tissue used in medical research, and in the creation of vaccines and medicine. Their efforts have successfully resulted in persuading companies like PepsiCo and Kraft to now use ethical testing alternatives for their products, among others. For example, once... Read more

Storm brewing in East Texas over “criminal act” of abortion, “Sanctuary cities for the unborn”

Last updated on: July 21, 2020 at 5:11 pm   By Bethany Blankley

A storm is brewing in East Texas after Right to Life East Texas director, Mark Lee Dickson, launched the “Sanctuary Cities for the Unborn” movement, which prompted several East Texas cities to pass abortion ban ordinances. Waskom City Council passed its ordinance one year ago, which was followed by six similar ordinances passed by city councils. In February, the Lilith Fund for Reproductive Equity and Texas Equal Access Fund joined an ACLU lawsuit, which challenged the ordinances. The lawsuit was... Read more

California churches defy Newsom, sue over ‘unconstitutional’ executive orders

Last updated on: July 21, 2020 at 4:11 pm   By Bethany Blankley

California churches are defying and suing Gov. Gavin Newsom over his most recent executive orders that prohibit church congregants from singing and holding in-person services. On Sunday, Harvest Rock Church held in-person services, led by Pastor Che Ahn, who delivered a message to the governor that was posted on Facebook. “As a pastor, I believe we’ve [the church] been essential for 2,000 years,” he said. “There is something larger at play here, there is a spiritual battle that is taking... Read more

37 states have Blaine Amendments blocking public funds from religious schools in their constitutions

Last updated on: July 16, 2020 at 3:38 pm   By Bethany Blankley

On June 30, the U.S. Supreme Court ruled in a 5-4 opinion that the application of Article X, Section 6, of Montana’s Constitution (Montana’s Blaine Amendment) violated the free exercise clause of the U.S. Constitution. The majority held that applying the Blaine Amendment was unconstitutional. The case, Espinoza v. Montana Department of Revenue, is considered to be a landmark religious liberty and school choice case because it has now reversed a requirement imposed by former president Ulysses S. Grant and... Read more

DeSantis does what should have been done a long time ago: require parental consent for minors to get abortions

Last updated on: July 16, 2020 at 1:50 pm   By Bethany Blankley

A new law went into effect July 1 in Florida: no minor can have an abortion without written consent of their parents or guardians. One would think this should be common sense– and that a law should not have to be passed to protect minors or ensure parental rights are followed. Think of all of the Republican governors in Florida who said they were pro-life and never actually did anything about this. Gov. Ron DeSantis did. Gov. DeSantis signed legislation... Read more

Former UT professor’s tirade includes destroying Israel, #CatholicismMustDie

Last updated on: July 15, 2020 at 4:54 pm   By Bethany Blankley

A former adjunct professor at the University of Texas–Austin, Spencer Wells, recently launched a tirade on Twitter, suggesting that Israel should be destroyed and #CatholicismMustDie. In one tweet, he encouraged Iran to bomb Israel. When asked to clarify his comment, he replied: “Nope – I despise the Israelis. If you want to see the post-apocalyptic vision of what Apartheid in South Africa would have looked like in 2020, visit Israel. The Palestinians have suffered for far too long – bomb it... Read more

Anti-life Roberts betrays God-given right to life and common sense medical protections for women [video]

Last updated on: July 14, 2020 at 12:58 pm   By Bethany Blankley

In a somewhat shocking decision, (one somewhat gets used to “Obama’s Judge” Chief Justice John Roberts siding with anti-life justices), the U.S. Supreme Court overturned a U.S. 5th Circuit Court of Appeals decision in June Medical Services v. Russo, ruling that Louisiana’s 2014 Unsafe Abortion Protection Act was unconstitutional. The Supreme Court’s decision upheld the 2016 Whole Woman’s Health v. Hellerstedt decision, which was an example of legislating from the bench, an act prohibited by the U. S. Constitution. The Unsafe Abortion Protection... Read more
