Understanding the long-term consequences of debt [MUST WATCH video]
Last updated on: August 12, 2020 at 11:18 am By Bethany Blankley
The national debts of countries have long-lasting consequences. The GDP-to-debt ratio is a significant indication of a country’s viability to exist. In the U.S., religious organizations have contributed to the problem. Before the coronavirus shut downs the debt ratios for many countries was already unsustainable. Canada’s was 88 percent, Italy’s 133 percent, USA’s 106 percent, Japan 237 percent. These countries are in more debt than they have ever been before. Debt slows economic growth, results in higher taxes, and more... Read more

Are these the White Washed Tombs of Texas?
Last updated on: August 6, 2020 at 1:00 pm By Bethany Blankley
There is a serious need for discussion among Bible-believing Christians about what it means to be faith-based. Does is mean faith based in the God of the Bible or faith based in Uncle Sam? Thousands of evangelical Protestants have made a remarkable departure from the teachings of scripture, while also rejecting their historical and biblical roots by choosing to apply for and receive federal money to fund their payrolls. Of the 4.9 million loans that were approved by the U.S.... Read more

In California, the chance of surviving the coronavirus is 99.9 percent. “So why would you shut down... Read more

Last updated on: August 3, 2020 at 12:18 pm By Bethany Blankley
“America seems to be in a freefall – morally, politically, culturally – our founding values and the biblical worldview seemingly fading forever,” the Cultural Research Center at Arizona Christian University, argues. But it’s also attempting to do something about it. “Cultural transformation is possible,” it argues. According to recent survey results, spiritual ineptitude and biblical illiteracy defines the majority of American Christians surveyed. The survey found that while 7 out of 10 Americans consider themselves to be a Christian, only 6 percent... Read more

Last updated on: July 29, 2020 at 10:54 am By Bethany Blankley
The American Pastors Network is encouraging Christians to commit this nation to prayer through a new “52 Tuesdays” prayer initiative, whereby believers come together to pray specifically for our nation every week on Tuesdays. “We’ve all heard the phrase, ‘Prayer changes things,’ but do we believe it?” the network asks. “The apostle Paul said, ‘Pray without ceasing.’ James said, ‘The effectual prayer of a righteous man accomplishes much.'” “As Christians, we should place great value on prayer—personal and national—because God does.
