We decorated our apartment door with homemade lanterns, pipe cleaners and beads.
For the flower, we used some cardboard, paint, glitter, and glitter glue. To make our decoration more meaningful, I added some facts about Ramadan on each petal so every time someone passes by my door they can read them and know what Ramadan is all about. To me, it’s a great way of dawah for those who are interested in Islam.
I pasted the following to my flower petals:
- the month of mercy
- the month of forgiveness
- the month of prayer at night
- the month of blessings
- the month of fasting
For the Islamic Gallery, I used:
- Construction paper
- Glue
- Sequins
- Glitter
- Glitter glue
- Craft sticks
- Beads
- Straws
- Paint
- Markers
- Print out any designs and coloring pages your child might like from http://www.geocities.com/mutmainaa/kids/colour.html.
- Color the pictures using markers, glitter glue, and/or paint.
- Make a frame using cardboard and glue the colored pictures.
- Use construction paper for the masajid.
- Then use craft sticks, sequins, and glitter glue to decorate the frames.
- The frames are ready!
We made our own shimmery bead chains by using clear laminating sheets, glitter, beads, and straws and added some homemade moons and stars to them.
