Over the recent years there has been a rise in the use of CBD oil for several health benefits. Various states have given the green light to its distribution and sale as well. More and more people are gradually opening up to the benefits of CBD oil which are sold in licensed shops like NuLeaf Naturals. However, there is still a vehement opposition from a section of the society, especially Evangelical Christians who have always considered pot a sin. In the light of the recent legalisation and rise of CBD oil it is important to understand a few facts.

CBD Oil is not a drug addiction

It is important to understand that the consumption of CBD Oil is very different from the mental picture of addiction that you have been conditioned to. It is not a bunch of shady addicts dealing illegally in a corner, rather it is something you obtain at a licensed pharmacy against a valid prescription from a doctor. It is legal and has to pass through all the necessary quality controls to be sold at these places which makes it absolutely safe for consumption. In fact, CBD oil does not have any intoxicating effect at all.

The Bible opposes debauchery due to intoxication

There is no explicit reference to CBD oil in the Bible and most verses on intoxicants are about alcohol. According to Galatians 5:19-21 and Proverbs 23:29-30 debauchery, drunken revelry or causing others harm due to intoxication is forbidden. It is not respectful of a good Christian to create a scene and cause other emotional distress under intoxication, however the Bible does not really forbid alcohol in its entirety. In fact, in Proverbs 31:6 it recommends alcohol for those who are in distress, if that is what helps them improve their condition. CBD oil is completely non intoxicating, made from a plant, which is absolutely natural and made by the creator himself.

CBD Oil is proven to have many benefits

CBD Oil has been seen to have excellent benefits for several painful conditions. Studies have shown that it has extremely beneficial effects in reducing inflammation and pain management for patients suffering from arthritis, multiple sclerosis, fibromyalgia, recovering from physical trauma etc. It is also useful for cancer patients as it helps them deal with the side effects of chemotherapy such as nausea, loss of appetite, mood swings and more. People suffering from various neurological, degenerative and autoimmune disorders like epilepsy, Crohn’s disease, Alzheimer’s etc. have seen marked improvements in their conditions. It helps relieve anxiety, relaxes stress and aids in the management of conditions such as PTSD, schizophrenia, bipolar disorder, eating disorders etc. Not only for humans, CBD oil is beneficial for pets too.

With its volley of benefits, CBD oil has grown to become a popular and powerful mode of medication to relieve various conditions without causing any sinful intoxication or addiction. Therefore, it is high time that religious Christians start understanding the health benefits of CBD oil instead of rejecting it altogether.
