To get Donald Trump elected ISIS will attack the USA before 2016. ISIS wants Trump to win so badly they can taste it. The attacks in Paris were designed to provoke retaliation against Muslims, and consequently more recruits for ISIS’s imaginary “caliphate.” To succeed this strategy needs reactionary opportunists to push the West to react rashly. ISIS is counting on irrational FEAR. They need someone to keep that fear front and center. Thus the ISIS agenda and the GOP/Trump agenda are now one and the same.
Judging by the range of irrational responses to the Paris attacks, it turns out that the West (and the GOP) learned absolutely nothing from 9/11, and the last 14 years of war that created ISIS to begin with — based on W Bush’s hubris and ignorant Trump-like folly.
President Obama is one of the few people being somewhat rational about the whole situation – and he’s receiving nothing but criticism for it… because he won’t mire us in ANOTHER 14 year war!
Fear is now the number-one (and only) GOP commodity going into 2016. Fear works because the American right wing public is mostly made up of badly educated oldsters who live in an information bubble. They are about to get the rest of us killed.
The State Department is trying to keep up with right wing talk radio and Fox News. They issued the vaguest possible “worldwide” travel alert saying Americans should be on edge about the entire globe, with “terrorist groups continue[ing] to plan terrorist attacks in multiple regions”. In other words Trump is writing the government’s script.
Chris Christie (of “bridge-gate”) is supposedly gaining ground in the Republican primary by trying to come off as tougher than Trump by invoking 9/11. And Trump is saying that he saw thousands of Arabs in New York City rejoicing after 9/11.
Donald Trump is stoking xenophobic rage, and his fellow Republican candidates are following his tactics.
We Americans are suddenly terrified of terrorists despite the fact that we have roughly the same chance of dying from a terrorist attack as we do being attacked by animals escaped from the Bronx Zoo!
Meanwhile in the polls, the sanest American alive, the president, is getting hammered. The Washington Post noted says that “the public’s ratings of Obama on dealing with terrorism have fallen to a record-low 40 percent, with a smaller 35 percent approving of his handling of the Islamic State.”
Obama is taking a hit for his calm and rational rhetoric. He’s hated because he is the last sane voice. Even Hillary is trying to meet Trump half way.
President Obama said, “The most powerful tool we have to fight Isil is to say that we’re not afraid, to not elevate them, to not buy into their fantasy that they’re doing something important. They are a bunch of killers with good social media.”
Meanwhile, a new Quinnipiac University poll confirms that Ted Cruz has parlayed his tough talk on immigration and appeal to evangelical Christians into a strong showing in Iowa. In other words as the list of people to hate and fear grows more and more evangelicals sign on. The way to the so-called Christian’s heart these days is an ever-expanding hate list.
Question: with all this provocation when will we see Trump followers lynching Arabs, Mexicans and anyone else brown, gay or just “different”? Aren’t “they” all really ISIS or somethin’?! Thank God for “open carry” laws for when “They” show up!
While Trump leads with the support of 25 percent of likely Republican caucus goers, Cruz is close behind with 23 percent – or double his support from just a few weeks ago. Cruz has closed out Ben Carson, the former favorite of Christian conservatives, who finished third with 18 percent.
Some 88 percent of Iowa Republicans are “very worried” or “somewhat worried” about the possibility of a Paris-style terrorist attack in the United States and 81 percent oppose allowing Syrian refugees into the country.
On the question of which of the candidates is best equipped to handle terrorism, 30 percent of the Republicans chose Trump and 20 percent chose Cruz, while just 10 percent picked Florida Sen. Marco Rubio, another up and comer in the presidential contest.
Here is what is going to happen: ISIS will see that their best bet for a confrontations of “civilizations” is a Trump victory in 2016. By a margin of 73 percent to 22 percent, Iowa Republicans support sending U.S. ground troops to fight ISIS in Iraq and Syria and by 83 percent to 9 percent believe that the U.S. and its allies are losing the war against ISIS. Their man is Trump, ISIS’s answer to payer.
At a campaign rally in Ohio, Trump lied outright once again saying that on the day of the Sept. 11, 2001, attacks there were big, public celebrations by thousands of Muslims in New Jersey as they watched the twin towers collapse. The comments were made despite denials by police and other New Jersey public officials — and the absence of news reports detailing such events of that day.
The evangelicals and other Trump supporters seem to love it when Trump pledges — without any details — a tough “response” to ISIS. Will his kids volunteer to serve like my Marine son did? Or will they be dodging service while Trump sends other peoples kids to war?
“We gotta knock the crap out of them folks, I’ll tell ya. We gotta knock them,” said this moral coward and bully who deferred his draft call up FOUR times and then pleaded ill health. “Would I approve waterboarding? You bet your ass I’d approve it. You bet your ass. In a heartbeat!” said this manicured celebrity.
Trump is ISIS’ mirror image. He is a cruel and shameful coward and a parody of a leader. Where and when will this stop?
ISIS will attack the USA before 2016 to make sure Trump is president. He’s the jackass they’ve been waiting for to make all their sick dreams of a “clash of civilizations” come true.
