How can the Jesus-deniers like Franklin Graham and the other evangelical leaders be reached with the gospel of Jesus Christ? Are they beyond hope? In human terms they are. But all things are possible with God. So perhaps, even the American evangelical Jesus-hating tribe may be saved.
Franklin curses Jesus by (according to media reports) taking a $612,884 per year salary* from funds donated to help the poor and spread the gospel.
What did Mother Teresa pay herself?
Evangelicals in Congress have robbed the poor by cutting funds for childcare and food stamps and tried to take away health care from the least of these.
How often did St. Paul quote Ayn Rand?
The guns awash in our society, including assault rifles and 100 round clips “good” only for mass murder, are only legal because of the work of the evangelicals who are the base of the Tea Party, NRA and the Republican Party.
How many guns did Jesus own?
In their angry pointless shutdown the evangelical-led Tea Party just cost the USA 24 billion in wasted money because of their spite against the first black president. While other Americans were dying at war, these evangelicals risked the faith, credit and reputation of our country for spite.
The Tea Party and GOP base is — according to all polls – made up mostly of white evangelicals. Clearly this lost white tribe deny Jesus who said something rather like this:
“When the Son of Man comes in his glory, and all the angels with him, he will sit on his glorious throne. All the nations will be gathered before him, and he will separate the people one from another as a shepherd separates the sheep from the goats. He will put the sheep on his right and the goats on his left. Then the King will say to those on his right, ‘Come, you who are blessed by my Father; take your inheritance, the kingdom prepared for you since the creation of the world. For I was hungry and you gave me something to eat, I was thirsty and you gave me something to drink, I was a stranger and you invited me in, I needed clothes and you clothed me, I was sick and you looked after me, I was in prison and you came to visit me.
“Then President Obama will answer him, ‘Lord, when did I see you hungry and feed you, or thirsty and give you something to drink? When did we see you a stranger and invite you in, or needing clothes and clothe you? When did we see you sick or in prison and go to visit you?’ The King will reply, ‘Truly I tell you, whatever you did for one of the least of these uninsured brothers and sisters of mine, you did for me.’ Then he will say to the evangelicals on his left, ‘Depart from me, you who are cursed, into the eternal fire prepared for the devil and his angels and for those who paid themselves $600,000 a year out of money given to help the poor and/or denied health care to people with per-existing conditions.
For I was hungry and you bought a private plane, I was thirsty and you lied about the president who wanted to give health care to the poor, I was a stranger and you did not invite me in, I needed clothes and you cut food stamps, I was sick and in prison and you privatized the prison system and turned it into a vast profit-making gulag with a vested interest in keeping millions of people behind bars.’ Ted Cruz also will answer, ‘Lord, when did we see you hungry or thirsty or a stranger or needing clothes or sick or in prison, and did not help you?’ He will reply, ‘Truly I tell you, whatever you did not do for one of the least of these, you did not do for me.’ Then the evangelicals will go away to eternal punishment, but the righteous liberals, atheists, feminists, secular Jews and gays who wanted to help the poor to eternal life.”
Okay, I embellished this slightly tongue-in-cheek parody a wee bit but… joking and satire aside, it’s self-evident that American evangelicals have never heard the gospel. We know them by their deeds. They lie about President Obama, saying he’s not a real American, that he was born in Kenya, and that he is a Muslim and a socialist or worse. They lie about the world and say there is no global warming. They lie about science and say there is no evolution.
The Bible says liars will perish. Evangelicals have become our nation’s premier liars. They even lie to their children in millions of home schools and Christian schools denying them fact-based educations in favor of fundamentalist myths and nonsensical paranoid baseless propaganda. And when the consequences of their truth-denying actions are questioned and they are confronted with the chaos they’re causing, they say “Jesus is coming back soon so none of this matters anyway.” Thus they even embrace the suicide of our country in the name of Jesus, committing the ultimate blasphemy.
Who can reach this evangelical truth-denying lost and ignorant white tribe? How can this pagan lost white tribe be saved and civilized and educated? They spawned the racist, homophobic Tea Party, a collection of gun worshiping violence lovers, when Jesus preached peace. They are led by liars making money on “ministries” that sell themselves as doing what they do for God, thus bringing God’s wrath upon themselves.
Pray for the salvation of the evangelicals. They are far from the love of God and – according to the Bible they worship instead of worshiping God, yet never seem to follow — risk damnation.
Who can reach these evangelical God-haters for Christ? When will the evangelization of America’s lost white tribe begin?
I invite you to study my book/gospel tract And God Said, “Billy!“ It explores the pagan delusions the lost backward evangelical American tribe suffers from and offers the light of gospel of Jesus Christ as an alternative to their satanic darkness.
Hand out this tract wherever the pagans meet and expect to earn the crown of martyrdom. Be warned, evangelicals usually kill in the name of love by beating people to death with their blood-soaked Bibles. Just ask any gay teen in an evangelical church who is considering suicide. Or just ask President Obama about how evangelicals have treated him. Or ask the poor that are being denied health care, food stamps and education.
Frank Schaeffer is a writer. His latest book — **And God Said, “Billy!“**exploring the roots of American religious delusion, and offering another way to approach true spirituality, is on Kindle, iBook and NOOK for $3.99, and in paperback.

(According to this media report: *Billy Graham’s son, Franklin Graham III is the head of Samaritan’s Purse, which describes itself as a “nondenominational evangelical Christian organization providing spiritual and physical aid to people hurting around the world with the purpose of sharing God’s love through his son, Jesus Christ.” In 2012, Franklin Graham III was paid $437,255 in “reportable compensation” and $175,629 in “other compensation from the organization and related organizations.” And this doesn’t count the perks, the plane, the luxury suites in hotels…)
