LOGO Patheos Explore the world's faith through different perspectives on religion and spirituality! Patheos has the views of the prevalent religions and spiritualities of the world.

11/30, 9:07 CT:  Clinton goes to Rick Warren’s Saddleback Church, is greeted with standing ovations, and has members saying she is now their “new hero.”  A lot can change in four years.  To read other coverage of Clinton’s reception at the evangelical conference on AIDS, check out here, here, and even more conservative accolades of the event here.

11/29, 10:28 CT:   “Jesus was too smart to ever run for public office,” Mike Huckabee said in reply to this YouTube clip asking whether Christ would have approved of the death penalty.  Did Huckabee’s answer satisfy your concerns about how Christian conservative candidates justify the death penalty?  To analyze the GOP debate for yourself, be sure to check out the New York Times’ interactive transcript or the feature page on YouTube.

11/28, 2:58 CT:  Governor Mike Huckabee continued to gain support with the Religious Right, receiving an endorsement from Jerry Falwell, Jr., today when speaking at Liberty University.  However, the latest news doesn’t look promising for Huckabee regarding ethics complaints, nor for his fellow GOP contenders on a spate of other issues, going into tonight’s YouTube debate.

11/28, 2:38 CT:  John Edwards met with David Brody of CBN in New Hampshire and talked about his faith.  “Like a lot of people, my faith came roaring back to me when tragedies began to strike,” he said.

11/26, 1:55 CT:  Always a gem, the great Martin Marty delivers a succinct rebuke of torture in today’s edition of Sightings

11/26, 1:48 CT:  Interesting article in the WSJ on the history and definition of the “common good” in political parlance.

11/26, 9:41 CT: Eric Sapp highlights how Democratic faith outreach successes are terrifying the religious right.

11/21, 12:09p CT: Robby Jones has a new progressive religious store that you’ll want to check out before the holidays.  Meanwhile, Linda Seger finishes her series on some differences between liberal and conservative faith.

11/16, 5:03p CT: This is just classic.  Bill O’Reilly, self-proclaimed culture warrior:  “Revelation was written…what?  Five thousand years ago?”

11/16, 12:14p CT: Christian leaders are saying immigrants need compassion.

11/16, 11:23a CT: Here at FD, Stan Moody has a different take on the Mississippi governor’s race than Jesse Lava did.

11/7, 1:34p CT: Jesse Lava on the predictable cynicism of Pat Robertson’s Giuliani endorsement.

11/7, 9:49a CT: The circle of cynicism is now complete: Pat Robertson endorses Rudy Giuliani.

11/6, 8:43p CT: It’s election day in Kentucky, and Governor Ernie Fletcher’s last-minute smears about his Democratic opponent being a tool of the “homosexual lobby” haven’t translated into a victory; tallies so far suggest he’s being trounced by a 60-40 margin.  That’s about as bad as it can get for an incumbent.

11/6, 8:39p CT: Ultimate religious righty Paul Weyrich endorses Mitt Romney.  Looks like flip-flopping isn’t so bad to these guys after all.

11/5. 11:56p CT: The latest from Stan Moody on the West Bank.
