Do you ever wonder what is the perfect family?<\/span><\/p>\n

Do you get comments about your family size or gender of your kids?\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Do you often hear other people saying \u201cyour poor husband, all girls?\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n

Or \u201care you going to try for a boy now?\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n

\u201cAre you going to keep having kids until you get that girl?\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n

\u201cOnly one, don\u2019t you think they need a sibling? They are lonely.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n

\u00a0<\/span>\u201cHow many children do you have?\u201d\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

\u201cDo you know where they come from?\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n

So, what is the perfect family size and makeup?<\/span><\/p>\n

God\u2019s Design for Our Family<\/h2>\n Josue Michel\/Unsplash<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n God designs our family. Our family was planned out for us by Him. He has a purpose for how many children we have and what children are ours.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n Ultimately we are raising them for Him.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n Our job is to bring these souls to him so that they can live in eternity with their Heavenly Father one day.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n We get so wrapped up in worldly things that we forget that it isn\u2019t about us. It\u2019s never about us. <\/span><\/p>\n It\u2019s about God.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n We are part of the story that leads to Him.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n Valuing our daughters<\/h2>\n Teri Sinnott<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n As a mother of girls, I hear all the comments. I know it happens to moms of boys too, but the personal experience I can speak from is for my daughters.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n My sweet little girls.<\/span><\/p>\n I\u2019ll never forget a woman approaching me in the grocery store when I was pregnant with Addy and asking me what I was having.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n When I told her it was a girl she looked right at my two beautiful little girls in the cart and said \u201cyour poor husband.\u201d\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n Now it may have been pregnancy hormones combined with a hot summer day that made it impossible for me to hold my tongue, but I immediately responded with how happy he was and how much he loves being a girl dad.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n I\u2019m not typically a snippy or rude person, but I\u2019m sure the tone that erupted from my mouth that day was less than pleasant and respectful.<\/span><\/p>\n Mama bear was out in full force.<\/span><\/p>\n \u00a0<\/span>I was so thankful they were too little at the time to understand what she was saying.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n But other girls are older and know what is being said. <\/span><\/p>\n What message does that send them about their worth? What are we saying to them?\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n My daughters are a gift. A blessing. They are not less than boys.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n Teri Sinnott<\/figcaption><\/figure>\nFathers of All Girls<\/h2>\n**** My husband has never seen having all girls as a bad thing.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n He never limits them because of their gender.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n He never thinks he can\u2019t do some activity with them because they are girls.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n My girls know how to fish.<\/span><\/p>\n Jay Sinnott<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n They go hunting.<\/span><\/p>\n My girls have been coached by their dad in sports.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n He works out with them and teaches them cross fit.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n He plays with dolls and colors.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n He takes them to sporting events.<\/span><\/p>\n Teri Sinnott<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n He teaches them archery and how to shoot a gun.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n He may even have let them do hair chalk on him.\u00a0\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n He cheers them on at their events.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n He supports them.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n He loves being a girl dad.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n And he is such a great dad.<\/span><\/p>\n He loves them the way God created them.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n Teri Sinnott<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n Family Size Matters?<\/span><\/h2>\n In my life I have come to know that there are so many people going down different paths when it comes to their family journey.<\/span><\/p>\n Infertility.<\/span><\/p>\n Losing a child.<\/span><\/p>\n Adoption.<\/span><\/p>\n IVF.<\/span><\/p>\n Single mothers.<\/span><\/p>\n Only children.<\/span><\/p>\n I could go on and on.\u00a0\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n We criticize people for not having children or for only having one.\u00a0\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n But, then we also see the large families, we make negative comments to them as well.\u00a0\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n Why do we think big families are bad?\u00a0\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n Why can\u2019t we just notice the beauty in all of our chaos?\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n Can we attempt to only let loving comments that give life come out of our mouths?<\/span><\/p>\n Large families are beautiful and also part of God\u2019s perfect plan.<\/p>\n Desires of Ours vs God\u2019s<\/span><\/h2>\n We all have our wants and desires, but God has a plan.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n And God\u2019s plan is perfect, even if we don\u2019t understand it.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n Our comments to others can be hurtful and damaging.<\/span><\/p>\n We never want a child to hear that we wish they were something or someone else.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n Imagine what that does to their psyche. How hurtful it can be.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n Every child is made in God\u2019s image. Read that again. EVERY child is made in God\u2019s image.\u00a0 <\/span><\/p>\n They are special. They have a purpose. They should be seen as a valuable gift from God. <\/span><\/p>\n He planned your family. Never let anyone make you question what God has planned.<\/span><\/p>\n \u00a0<\/p>\n What does your family look like?
