Patheos Explore the world's faith through different perspectives on religion and spirituality! Patheos has the views of the prevalent religions and spiritualities of the world.
Zondervan is having a big ebook sale on books about the Apostle Paul. I thought I’d annotate these a bit with Paul’s own comments.
Zondervan’s eBook Sale ends Sunday, March 1 at 11:59pm ET. (3/1/15)
Four Views on the Apostle Paul
Michael F. Bird, General Editor
Deal $3.99 | Original $11.99
What’s the best framework for understanding Paul’s theological perspective? Four leading scholars present their views: Thomas R. Schreiner (Reformed View), Luke Timothy Johnson (Catholic View), Douglas A. Campbell (Post-New Perspective View), and Mark D. Nanos (Jewish View).
Buy now Amazon | Apple | Barnes & Noble | ChristianBook.com Paul, an apostle of Jesus Christ, greetings to the church in Grand Rapids who meets in Rupert Murdoch’s house. Gosh, how many perspectives can you have on me? I like Schreiner for stressing my emphasis on justification as a declaration, Johnson gives a good overview of my feelings on community, Campbell appreciates what I was trying to do in Romans 5-8, and Nanos helpfully reminds folks that I really, really was Jewish. Some good stuff here, we should all go out for schwarma some time.
Thinking Through Paul: A Survey of His Life, Letters, and Theology
by Bruce W. Longenecker and Todd D. Still

This is a new text for college and seminary classrooms and interested readers.

I like these boys, reading their book with all the neat photos was like a trip down memory. Nice to see that someone actually believes that I wrote 2 Thessalonians!

Buy now Amazon | Apple | Barnes & Noble | ChristianBook.comPaul, a servant of Jesus Christ, greetings to the churches in Grand Rapids, and all my friends at Shiraz restaurant. This is a cool little package. You know, I kept a copy of all my own letters, mostly to help me remember stuff I had told people. Luke took a bunch of them and put them in one of those new fangled codex thingy bobbies. This would go well with a collection of my letters.
Five Views on Law and Gospel
Deal $2.99 | Original $6.99
Has the Gospel replaced the Law? What is the relevance of the Old Testament Law to our lives as Christians? Is there continuity between it and what Christ expects of us in the Gospel? Explore answers in the contributions from Greg L. Bahnsen, Walter C. Kaiser Jr., Douglas J. Moo, Wayne G. Strickland, and Willem A. VanGemeren.
Buy now Amazon | Apple | Barnes & Noble | ChristianBook.comPaul, a follower Jesus Christ, greetings to the churches in Grand Rapids, and to all my chums at Grand Rapids Theological Seminary and Calvin College. Things don’t change. Torah and euangelion was a thorny issue in my day and it continues to be so now. Man, when Peter came to Antioch I had to man slap him in the face over this (well, metaphorically speaking). I didn’t speak to the dude for years. Yeah, this topic gets folks riled up, but at least these guys explore it with grace and wisdom.

Buy now Amazon | Apple | Barnes & Noble | ChristianBook.comPaul, an apostle of Jesus Christ, grace and peace to the churches in Grand Rapids, greetings to all, even to those sordid TSA agents at Gerald Ford airport who give me a very rigorous frisk search because I look middle eastern. I wrote Romans while I was literally on the go, so I can happily endorse a book about Romans for people on the go. Sale prices end Sunday, March 1, 2015 at 11:59pm ET.
