What Is Death According to the Bible?

Last updated on: February 5, 2025 at 11:44 am   By Miranda Turner

While some may disagree and prefer to avoid the subject, I personally believe that discussing death is beneficial. Moreover, grasping the true nature of death is essential for a proper understanding of Scripture. According to the Bible, how should we define death? Read more

Deconstruction or Reconstruction? Finding Truth in Faith

Last updated on: February 25, 2025 at 11:44 am   By Miranda Turner

I am utterly exhausted by the sight of Christians apologizing on behalf of “all of us” for the pain, deceit, or negative feelings that may have driven “deconstructing” or “ex-Christians” away from Christianity. Statements like, “I’m so sorry for many of us letting you down,” and “I apologize for any negative experiences you’ve encountered with the church” are just tiresome. Honestly, it’s time to stop.  Read more

Is “Woman” The Product Of A Rib?

Last updated on: February 25, 2025 at 11:27 am   By Miranda Turner

On a sister's YouTube video that I viewed a while back advocating for female preachers, I recall a guy leaving an ignorant comment saying, "Lady, you need to be quiet, you’re just a rib." My jaw dropped in horror at his sheer stupidity and disrespect. Unfortunately, there are others who think this way as well, and translations, many times, can promote these wrong ideas. But, is “woman” the product of a rib? Read more

Why Kirk Franklin Is Pi**ed Off: What We Can Learn From It

Last updated on: October 30, 2024 at 12:28 am   By Miranda Turner

There’s a video of Kirk Franklin making the rounds on social media that’s been dubbed a "rant," receiving mostly negative reactions and judgmental responses. In light of this clip, he’s been called “demonic,” not "born-again," and “fallen away,” among other accusations. However, I find it hard to understand how anyone could reach such conclusions based on this single clip. Read more

Women Preachers and the Problem With Following Traditions

Last updated on: October 7, 2024 at 12:23 am   By Miranda Turner

In a June 2020 article on cbmw.org, the website of The Council on Biblical Manhood and Womanhood, scholar Wayne Grudem wrote, “Until 2019, I held the common, historic Protestant view of divorce, namely, that adultery and desertion were the only two legitimate grounds for divorce allowed by Scripture.[1] This is the position set forth, for example, in the Westminster Confession of Faith (1646): In the case of adultery after marriage, it is lawful for the innocent party to sue out... Read more
