Jinnah had made a deal with British on Pakistan for it to serve for future strategies of Western Powers

Last updated on: November 21, 2012 at 1:11 pm   By Desh Kapoor

It is a very interesting interview with Tarek Fatah, an intellectual from Pakistan who now lives in Canada.  He discusses in detail why Jinnah had actually cut a deal with the British to help them craft their future strategy against the Soviets by creating Pakistan. Pakistan was an unnatural creation and it was made with the full backing of the British. Fatah discusses why the concept of Pakistan died the day it was created.  And it further disintegrated as a... Read more

Why I have no sympathy for Palestinians

Last updated on: November 20, 2012 at 11:45 pm   By Desh Kapoor

The Israeli-Palestinian conflict has again fired up in Middle East and the violence is ever the more terrible.  The “intellectual liberals” around the world are projecting the strikes by Israel as “terrorism” and parading the casualties in Palestine of the men, women and babies as cruelty.  Of course, these sections blame Israel. I DON’T!  Simply.  I just don’t.  Not just that, I have no sympathy for the Palestinian “victims”.  Let us see why I have “gone heartless”?  Or have I?... Read more

Last updated on: November 20, 2012 at 9:06 pm   By Desh Kapoor

Came across a very interesting article about the blogging trends in Japan and India vis-a-vis the Western Blogosphere.  It seems, even though English speakers to Japanese Speakers ratio is 5:1 in the world, the blogosphere is dominated by Japanese as opposed to English in terms of number of blogs. Japanese write more and regularly.  And they read blogs more regularly as well.  Here are some interesting factoids from that article by Peter Sterlacci: While 40% of English-language bloggers blog to... Read more
