What was happening in India and the Rest of the World at the time of Mahabharat and Ramayan
Last updated on: March 28, 2013 at 11:30 am By Desh Kapoor
There has been a concerted effort since the times of British to discredit India’s history and to brush it aside. The scriptures which are historic in nature in many ways had been painted as “mythology. But when you look at the evidence and evaluate the “stories” and the narratives, what comes out is very interesting. Here is one take on it: Read Quote of Nivethan Jeyasingam’s answer to Hinduism: When Mahabharata and Ramayana were taking place in India, then at... Read more

Isn’t Islamic Kalma an Exclusivist statement and does it incite violence?
Last updated on: May 29, 2013 at 12:20 pm By Desh Kapoor
When something is repeated as a matter of right – religious right at that – and with fanatic passion, then the social take on those things usually seems to become that it is kosher. Often even truth. One of the reasons – actually the Major reason – why out of all the ideologies, I believe Islam begets violence is because it is Exclusive in nature. It tries to trash everything else as opposed to its professed ideology. Not only does... Read more

From Hinduism to Sanatana Dharma: A Critical Journey whose time has come
Last updated on: March 27, 2013 at 3:12 pm By Desh Kapoor
Hinduism is a moniker given by the invaders to the practices that were followed in the land beyond Indus, which they couldn’t understand. Those who had been colored in Beliefs and thought that was the only way to conduct the business of interacting with and seeking the Creator of the Existence – slapped the cloak of belief and its damning impact on unsuspecting people from the sub-continent. Over the years, the ones with the Belief have rejected those who were... Read more

Lately India has become a “free for all”. Now, there is not even a pretense of being “above board” and impartial. And now he has been canvassing for pardon of sentences for those who have been charged for terrorist acts against people of India. We will get to... Read more
