Last updated on: March 2, 2012 at 8:41 pm   By Desh Kapoor

Google can track everything you do online through its vast network of tools and sites.  A guy in France learnt that even offline he can’t escape Google! A Frenchman is in a fix.  The guy was peeing in his own garden – crazy spot to do so – when the Google’s Street view cameraman came calling.  Google Maps has a street view, where the pictures of the houses are shown.  These pictures represent a point in time.  And the Frenchman’s... Read more

Last updated on: February 27, 2012 at 11:31 am   By Desh Kapoor

The MPs of all political parties are up in arms against Arvind Kejriwal for having spoken the truth – that a parliament of 545 elected members has 163 charged with heinous crimes. When the mirror is shown, every party – BJP, Congress, RJD – are angry.  They aren’t interested in changing themselves but want to take Kejriwal to task. “In this parliament, 163 members have cases of heinous offences against them. In this parliament, rapists, murderers and looters are sitting.... Read more

Bastardization of “One-ness”

Last updated on: February 27, 2012 at 4:05 am   By Desh Kapoor

All are equal.  Every religion is the same.  All Gods are the same. These sentiments seem very nice.  Indeed laudable.  But when you look a little deeper, they are nothing but nonsensical.  Worse when such statements are made using the utterances of Realized Beings and Masters, who have spoken in a context totally removed. Let us first understand the basics. Religion is NOT Spirituality.  Religion is based on belief and is a “Mind Game”.  The entire construct is based on... Read more

Last updated on: February 23, 2012 at 7:18 pm   By Desh Kapoor

After some debate about the utility of sharing in only 140 characters, Twitter has emerged as one of most powerful social platforms.   According to some studies, people stay logged on for 12 hours addicted to the stuff being shared. Last updated on: February 23, 2012 at 6:28 pm   By Desh Kapoor

A face saving ploy and a populist move by the very Government which was calling  Shaheed Bhagat Singh as a terrorist? One doubts it is a change of heart or some sudden interest in his martyrdom.  It is an opportunistic step at best. The Bhagat Singh aficionados’ are elated over union government decision of introducing Rs. 5 coins having legendary martyr picture. The reserve bank of India(RBI) has announced to soon introduce coins devoted to martyr’ birth anniversary with Bhagat... Read more

Baba Ramdev Ramlila Assault: Supreme Court calls it “assault on Democracy”

Last updated on: February 23, 2012 at 6:23 pm   By Desh Kapoor

This Government in India may be unique in many ways.  Specifically, the way Judiciary has had to step in to not just save democracy but even the country at times. In its latest remarks in the Ramlila Grounds attack on Baba Ramdev, the two Judge bench was pretty severe. “The present case is a glaring example of trust deficit between the people governing and the people to be governed. Greater confidence needs to be built between the authorities in power... Read more
