As a country music fan, Beyoncé doesn’t do much for me. Her talent as a singer is overshadowed by her obvious disdain for police officers.  With each performance or music video, her anti-cop agenda rings louder and clearer.

She made a big splash on Sunday’s MTV Music Video Awards, mixing her “art” with politics by bringing with her the mothers of Michael Brown, Trayvon Martin, Eric Garner, et al. to watch a racially charged performance that made a statement about “police brutality.” However,Beyoncé has no command of the facts of any of these cases and is exploiting these women.

That’s to be expected, though, by these Hollywood, one-percenter-types who are more interested in political theater than action. I don’t see Beyoncé putting her money where her mouth is. She’s far too interested in her own cause — her multi-million dollar empire — to put boots on the ground to help make a difference in these urban communities.

Beyoncé is the perfect representation of all that’s wrong with the Left. Like the Democratic Party, she grandstands on issues that appeal to the black community, making it appear that she’s on their side but in the end, nothing has changed. In this case, a few women got to attend a fancy red-carpet awards show wearing expensive dresses that didn’t cost them a dime. But now the spotlight has faded, they are back home in cities that have been ravaged by liberal progressive policies. All the while, the powerful get on with their extravagant lifestyles on the backs of those they exploit.

I recently spoke about these issues and more on Fox Business’s Risk and Reward with Deirdre Bolton.
